To the local college

Walking through the streets right before dusk while nothing was moving was a strange feeling to Richard. Passing different cars, he looked in seeing people mid puff on their cigarettes or on their phones texting.

"Oh, hey, I have an idea how about we go see what Bridget is up to?", Bridget was Jess' best friend who she had most of her classes with.

"Getting into the girl college dorms, sounds like there's fun to be had", he said, smirking at Jess.

While Jess was best friends with Bridget, Richard didn't really know her all to well. The only time he really saw her was when she came over to hang out with Jess. Even then, he was in his room, or out and about. Although he didn't know much about her, that didn't mean he didn't like her. She was always friendly with him, always having a smile on her face.

On the way to their local college, Richard noticed Jess stop for a second, staring down a side street behind a building.

"What's up sis?", Richard asked, stopping with her.

"I thought I saw something move... must be nothing though. It's weird how you sense things so much more when time is stopped."

"Yeah, it's kind of addictive though, almost like you're able to sense more."

Richard tried brushing off what Jess said, but something about it stuck around like he knew there was something amiss. While he wasn't quite sure whether it was something real, or his own fear making him irrational he set it aside in his mind for now.

Normally it was around a 20 minute walk to the community college, but since Richard was lost in his thoughts it felt as though he just appeared in front of the dorm building. He looked up to see the sign above the door, it read 'Greenpine Community College Female Dorms' They seem to have luck on their side as they froze time when one of the other students was making their way inside leaving the door unlocked and open for them.

"Oh sweet, thank you Ana", Richard heard Jess say. Making her way through the door.

Richard followed Jess as she made her way up the stairs and through the corridor, going exactly to Bridget's room. Trying the door, they find it to be unlocked.

As Jess made her way in, he hears her say "What do we have here?"
