Chapter 18 by hambo hambo

Who are they?

Three other foolish and freshly defrauded women

Hilda decides the first thing they need to do is introduce themselves.

The thin human with mousy brown hair is a noblewoman named Lady Allista Vena, the only daughter of the late Lord Mallistre, and the freshly widowed wife of Lord Calvin Vena, making her one of the richest people in the land (well, at least formerly). Evidently her husband didn't react too well to learning she had given away their vast fortune and had croaked on the spot. She found life in high society to be strangely hollow, and thought this would give her the answers and meaning she craves.

The lovely blonde woman was Mara Treiss, a member of the country's 'new rich' (well formerly) and the granddaughter of Conrad Treiss, one of the kingdom's wealthiest merchants. She's a thrill-seeker "looking for like, spirituality, n' junk," in her own words.

The third woman, the red-headed half-elf, was a popular bard who went be the name Mylastrassa, or Myla to her friends (her birth name was the oh-so-glamorous and very human 'Mabel Jones'), a name she had been told meant "Rose" in Elvish (but unbeknownst to her, actually meant "Fire Pussy" and "Pussy" respectively). She had apparently been on tour when Mahlly helped her find religion, and was kind enough to hold onto the bard's modest fortune while she found herself.

After they've finished their introductions, and Hilda's told them about herself, a light goes off above their collective heads.

What have they realized?
