They follow Dale.

Chloe and Brandon looked at Dale and then at each other and with a nod they decide to take up on Dale's offer. It was after all lunchtime, they had been walking for quite a while and were starting to feel hungry, besides, Dale seemed nice.

The walk to the house took about five minutes and Chloe caught herself staring at Dale's muscular build at least three times during the walk, something that Brandon didn't notice because he was having a conversation with Dale about the trails and Dale's property.
Soon they saw the house in front of them and both Chloe and Brandon let out a "wow" as they took it in. The house was beautiful, built with both stone and wood, with big windows at the front, overlooking the property. It wasn't extremely big or fancy, but it was more than enough. Chloe guessed that the room with the big windows was the living room, she could see a big fireplace, some couches and other furniture through the windows.

Dale turned around and looked at both of them, with a smile he said "this is where I live, With my parents, my dad is out fishing right now though, but my mother is home, she should have the lunch ready by now." He turned around and went up to the door, waving to Brandon and Chloe to follow. As he opened the door, a nice scent of food filled the air and they all went inside. Chloe felt her stomach grumble and she realized how hungry she actually was, she just hoped the guys hadn't heard it too.

Dale lead them into the kitchen, which was spacious but homey, he cleared his throat "mom, I found these two on our land, got lost on the trail, see, dad really need to put up that fence!"
His mother turned around and gave her son a smile before she let her gaze wander to Brandon and Chloe "oh I'm sorry you got lost! My husband always forgets to put up that darn fence" she said with a laugh, "my name is Patricia, what are your names my dears?" She held out her hand for them to shake, Brandon was first to take it " my name is Brandon, thanks for your hospitality mrs!" Patricia smiled "no worries!" She let her gaze fall upon Chloe"and what's your name sweetie?" Chloe smiled and looked at Patricia "oh, it's Chloe, nice to meet you" she nodded and seemed to look her over before she answered "okey, Chloe, Brandon, you're welcome to eat some lunch if you like, there's enough for everyone".
Brandon was quick to dig in, while Chloe looked towards Dale, and met his gaze, which she wasn't ready for, she felt her cheeks turned a little red "go ahead, ladies first" he said and smiled wide. Chloe put some food on her plate and sat down next to Brandon awkwardly, she didn't get why she felt so nervous all of a sudden, surely it can't be because of Dale, the older, handsome guy with that brown hair, who just sat down in front of her, no, she didn't know the guy, she can't be nervous just because of his looks, can she? she thought to herself as she started eating the food.

During the meal she found herself having a hard time looking him in the eyes, and when she did she got a strange feeling in her stomach that she'd never felt before, it felt nice but weird at the same time.
When all of them had finished the meal, Brandon stood up, thanked them for the lunch and nudged Chloe, which caused her to do the same, "thank you so much for the food and hospitality, but I think Chloe and I better head back home now, the others might be worried about where we are." He smiled and Dale stood up " of course! I'll walk you two to the door" as they started to walk, Patricia said bye and that they we're welcome to stop by at any time.

When they reached the door they got ready to say goodbye and Dale cleared his throat "as my mother said, you're welcome to stop by anytime, in fact I was wondering if you want to come by tonight on a little party or something? Just hang out, make some s'mores and have fun, you can invite your other friends too. My parents are going away for the night so they won't be in the way!" Brandon and Chloe looked at each other, "sounds like fun! We'll ask them" Brandon said and Chloe nodded in agreement. "You'll sure you'll find your way back to the cabin?" He asked and both nodded before they said their goodbyes and started walking back.

Back in Dale's house he went back in to the kitchen to find his mother standing there waiting for him with a smile on her face "that girl was very pretty!" Dale just shoke his head " I know mom, but no there's nothing going on, I just met her!" She just looked at him with that same smile "I couldn't help but to hear you invite them over, surely that means you want to get to know her, or him, a little better?" He laughed a little "Wow, that was uncalled for! You should know I like girls, based on how many different girls I had over when I was a little younger, around Brandon and Chloe's age. Not that I should or even want to discuss my sex or love life with you." He just smiled as he hugged his mother and went to his room.

When they had walked for a few minutes Brandon broke the silence " you sure acted different back there, any reason why?" He asked as he nudged her on the side and laughed a little, Chloe gave him an annoyed look but ended up smiling "I don't know, I just started feeling a little nervous and awkward around him" Brandon watched her as she talked "yeah I noticed! He checked you out too by the way, when you weren't looking. I saw him looking at your ass when you stood in front of him and put the food on your plate" Chloe tried to grasp what he had said"wait..what? He checked ME out?? Why would he do that?" She asked and looked genuinely confused.
Brandon just sighed "Chloe, you need to realize that you're pretty! Maybe you're his type, the type of girl he find cute, beautiful, sexy, you name it! Hell, even I think you're attractive, but I'm not interested in you that way, I'm just saying..guys do find you attractive, you're just too insecure to notice it." Chloe was quiet the rest of the way back to the cabin, trying to process what he had just told her, did Dale actually find her pretty? Or even sexy? She didn't know what to think, luckily they were back at the cabin now, and everyone seemed rather worried and filled with questions when they came back in, so after filling them in with what had happened, they told them about the invitation to Dale's place.

They decided to have a vote about if they should go, Brandon instantly voted yes, followed by everyone else, until Chloe was the only one left to answer. She didn't know what to vote, one part of her really wanted to go, wanted to meet Dale again, but another part was so insecure about the whole meeting him again that she didn't really dare to go, but the others wanted to go, and were waiting for her answer.
