The tendril

It didn't have much time. By chance, it alone had remained on this fertile plane. Now separated from the mass, the tendril, which was about the size of a blade of grass, gained its own primitive consciousness.

The hellish lust energies that powered the full tentacle beast of the portal existed as only an ember within the tendril. That ember would be extinguished soon enough.

The creature needed life, needed vital essence to suck up and turn into infernal power. It scanned the area, feeling its power draining with the ability. In the distance it sensed another female human, but this one was much too far away for now. Further off, it sensed other human beings.

It had to settle for a lower life form. It had ****. Besides, many creatures of the ground could provide excellent bodies, with modifications.

As luck would have it, a stray nightcrawler, big and fat from a ripe summer season, rolled out of the Earth not more than three inches from the tendril.

With its dying burst of energy, the infernal critter shot forward and pierced the nightcrawler on its side. The worm immediately rolled over, desperately struggling to free itself. However, the tendril gave it no room, pushing its body deep into the flesh of the earthworm.

As it did so, the tendril sprouted veins that ran through the meat of the simple worm. This brought about a rapid joining as the worm and tendril merged into a single organism.

The tendril worm began to grow and reshape. It's body rapidly lengthened to nearly a foot and widened to nearly three inches in diameter. The head of the creature thickened even more, taking on a distinctly phallic shape. Purple slime glistened on the darkening body of the creature and diseased veins of glowing pink rippled across the flesh.

The hell worm now possessed enough power to spread its corruption.
