The other knights tease Roi (but not in a mean-spirited way)

Roi rushes back to the barracks, **** to get the taste of these terrible cookies out of her mouth. Unfortunately, the other knights-in-training had noticed her talking, and the gossip was already flying.

"Hey Roi, who was that?" Medelyn Rozen asks.

"She's cute. Are you two friends?" Harley Dustaine interjects, as a little bit of a smile creeps across her face.

"Nah, did you see the way they looked at each other? That was more than 'just friends,'" Liam Baldwin, the self-appointed leader of the trainees declares.

"Dawwww!" Alia Baldwin chimes in.

"Way to go girl!" Harley cheers.

"...can I have one of those cookies?" Harvey Dustaine, Harley's brother quietly asks as he stares longingly at the box in Roi's hands.

"S-shut up!" Roi snaps back, trying to sound fierce and scary. Of course, those cookie crumbs spraying from her mouth undermine the whole thing. "These aren't for me! They're for the captain."

Her fellow recruits look at her skeptically.

"A-and we're not friends! We just met last night at the strip competition!" Roi blurts out, instantly regretting her choice of words as her face turns red as a tomato. "I-I mean..."

The rest of the knights go wild at this revelation. They laugh and cheer, some of them even pat our flustered knight-to-be on her back as they offer their congratulations.

"Wow, Roi, you've got a whole other side to you, don't you?" Liam says with a cocksure grin plastered across his face.

"...there was a strip competition?" Harvey asks as he munches away at one of the cookies. Apparently he doesn't mind the taste.

"So what's her name?" Liam asks. "And what days does she strip?"

Roi angrily throws the box of cookies at Liam, barely missing his head as she storms off.

The crowd goes silent for a moment as Harvey bends down to pick up the cookie box, and quietly takes another one for himself.

"They're definitely dating," Liam says, breaking the silence.

"Oh yeah," Harley says as the trainees start to gossip again.
