The maze

John and Sophia returned to the castle. Ivy approached them.

"Master, I have found an entrance to a dark place" she said.

"A dark place?"

Ivy took John and Sophia to some tunnels underneath the castle where there was a door.

"I've never seen this door before" said John.

John ordered for guards to search through this door. Later, he received reports that the door led to an underground labyrinth. Well, there had to be something good inside. John gathered Sophia, Annie and Liv to explore the maze with him.

Ivy was left behind as the darkness would cut off sunlight, weakening her severely. The four walked downstairs to the entrance of the maze.

"Okay, lets go find something"

"What are we looking for?" asked Annie.

"I don't know" said John, "something valuable like treasure or a magic artefact, or some sexy girls"

"What would sexy girls be doing in the labyrinth?" Sophia asked.

They stepped into the maze. Unfortunately, the maze was total darkness. Even the flame of their torch was invisible. Nobody could see a thing.

"How are we supposed to find anything?" asked Annie, "I cannot see a thing"

"Annie's right" said Sophia, "even if there are no monsters down here, we would still be stumbling around in the dark"

"Okay, fall back" said John.

The four exited the maze.

"There is someone who could help" said John.

"Who?" Sophia asked.

"Katrina Lanus"

John entered the Matilda's old room where the princess used to keep Katrina prisoner to find it empty. Did Matilda kill her before she was banished? John rushed to his mother's bedchambers.

"Mother, where is Katrina?"

"She escaped almost a week ago" said Melissa.
