The laundress

Next up was Hilda's laundress. She was a busty woman about Hilda's age, with fiery red hair and an exquisite figure. Unbeknownst to Hilda, the poor peasant woman had been borrowing Hilda's pretty dresses for her own use to try to impress some of the local menfolk. Now she wanted to make it official.

"Ah, Maeveene," Hilda says with a smile. "How can I help you?"

"I love your outfits, those dresses always look so lovely," she says, still not sure if this is some kind of trick.

Hilda had always been a bit of a timid girl at social events (especially ones attended by her dreamy crush, Baron von Hunkington), but despite her male-dominated profession, Hilda had always loved girly things, especially when it involved dressing up in pretty, pretty dresses.

"They certainly are," Hilda agrees, wistfully remembering how much she had spent on them. She had three whole rooms full of the things, after all you could never wear the same outfit twice! "How many did you want?"

"Um... all of them?" Maeveene asks timidly.

"Yeah sure, go for it girl!" Hilda says enthusiastically.

Maeveene practically leapt for joy, but then paused for a moment, feeling a little bolder. "Um..." Maeveene awkwardly stuttered. "What about shoes...?"

"Take them too! Can't have an outfit without shoes," Hilda cheerfully said.

"And the jewelry?" Maeveene asked greedily. "Does it come with it too?"

"I don't see why not..." Hilda says, casually giving away enough wealth to fund an army.

"Thank you, milady! I'll never forget this!" Maeveene says with tears in her eyes as she runs off to plunder Hilda's (former) wardrobe.

Seeing that their mistress had apparently gone mad and was not playing a joke, greed started to cloud the minds of the remaining servants, eager to take what they could.

Sally, meanwhile continued to stare up at her mistress with absolute admiration. Such a kind and generous woman! She thought as her heart beat a little faster.
