The day of the party (morning and afternoon)

Jamie just paced back and forth in his apartment, uncertain what to do to pass the time for the party. At least in the afternoon he could listen to scored come in as it was saturday. But during the morning it was what he considered boring television. Even streaming or catching up on recordings didn't appeal. Deep down he was impatient to see his gorgeous co-worker in her sexy red riding hood outfit. At around 11, Jamie heard his phone go off. Picking his phone up seeing a message from Mat.

"You all set for tonight mate?"

"Yes Matt. You still haven't told me what you going as. You know there's apparently a prize for the best costume."

"Is there? They kept that quiet. Good job I got something then. I'm going to have to wear dracula cape I got last year, you know when i had to take my nephew trick or treating. Well he was adamant that I had to dress up as something to take him. Luckily I still have it."

"Dracula. Well you are a sucker. Lol"

"Yeah whatever. What you going as then? Hang on. Don't tell me. I'm guessing you will be going as the Joker. Followed closely by Brooke as Harlequin."

"Er. No. You're well off the mark there."

"Oh give over will you. Lol, She's so into you, and you her, You 2 are the talking point around the office. Everyone notiiced you both leaving early the other day."

"She wanted my help deciding on a costume. But, yes I have noticed the odd look or 2 from others and the chemistry between Brooke and I. But she's 9 years younger than me and the dinosaurs daughter."

"Doesn't tell me what your costume is though. Lol."

"Brooke talked my into getting this werewolf costume,and she paid for it. Brooke though has gone for a sexy red riding hood costume. She reckons everyone will be drooling over her."

"Nice. She'll be in your bed by the end of the night. Mark my words."

"Yeah, then I'll be looking for another job."

"Do it covertly then. Better let you get on. get sorted out for later myself. See you tonight bud."

Jamie didn't bother responding. He'd see Matt later at the party later.

Brooke

Brooke spent the morning having a lay in. Not bothering to get up until gone 10. Once showered, she went to pick up Melanie and the 2 went window shopping to a bit of time. Stopping at a coffee shop have a light bite to eat. "I am so looking forward to tonight. This party should be a blast. hopefully dad will loosten up a bit."

"Ignore yor dad. Just go and enjoy it. How's thing with your office sweetheart." Mel tried to stiffle a giggle.

"Mel. Nothing is going on between him and me." Brooke flatly stated.

"I've known you for years Brooke. You've got the hots for the man. It's written all over your face whenever I mention it."

"Okay, okay, I admit it. I wanna fuck his brains out. And I can tell by the way he looks at me, he wants it too. But my dad puts him off."

"So what you gonna do? Serioulsy Brooke, you're head over heels with this Jamie. You can't let him slip through your fingers."

"I know, That's why I picked the costumes, I want it to actually seems like we're going on a date in some way."

"Damn Brooke. You seem obsessed. How about you pretend you can't get a cab and have him walk you home. Give you time alone with him. Might be able to convince him otherwise in a secluded setting."

"You know what. That's actually not a bad idea Mel."

The 2 of them continued on with their day until it was time to head home and Brooke needed to get ready for her works party.
