The cave

You creep slowly down the cave with ever increasing care - the further you progress, the damper and slippier the passageway seems to get. It winds slowly downwards through the rock, and shortly opens out into a huge cavern, spanned by a rather unsafe looking rope bridge that leads from your passageway across a deep ravine to the far side of the cave, barely visible in the gloom. Squinting, you think you can see at least two doorways over there. You're really not sure that you want to trust that rope bridge, though...

You peer over the edge of the ravine, wondering if you could maybe climb down it and up the other side, and your eyes widen in surprise. Crawling around down there are at least a dozen strange creatures, seeming like huge snails with human torsos - female torsos! These snail girls are crawling slowly around, seemingly grazing on a gently glowing lichen that grows on the damp rocks, pulling it from the stalagmites with their hands and chewing on it slowly. Their shells are huge and whorled, their skin grey green and slimy, their faces pretty but somewhat blank and vapid. Their hair is a gleaming black, their eyes a soft, dull yellow, their nippleless breasts heavy and full. They seem to be completely unaware of you right now, just crawling slowly around the bottom of the cavern, their huge heavy snail bodies leaving glistening stacks of slime as they go.

Peering further, you think you see another exit from the cavern down there, and what could be a piece of jewellery glistening in your torchlight. Also, you're pretty sure you could climb up the rough stone of the far side pretty easily, and avoid risking the rope-bridge breaking on you and sending you tumbling head first into the ravine. True, if you climb down there you'd have to make your way through the mass of crawling snail girls, but come on - they're snails, you'll be able to dance between them with no problem at all. If you can't out move a snail, what kind of adventurer are you?
