What's next?

The adventure begins

"So, you were really looking for me?" I asked, in shock.

The Oni girls nodded firmly, "Uh-huh!"

The blue Oni removed her gauntlets, followed by her breastplate. Then she took off her boots and skirt. Finally, she stripped out of her underwear and knelt directly on the ground, bowing her head to the floor. Her clothes were neatly slain out on the ground. I think it's called the dogeza position or something. Kinda hot.

"I am very sorry for landing on top of you! Please punish me, King Felix!"

"Do you really have to do this everywhere we go?" the red Oni asked.

"King Felix?" I asked.

"You're the reincarnation of King Felix. You look almost exactly like him, " the red Oni said.

I was told that King Felix was the ruling monarch until he died about forty years ago.

"Okay?" I said, confused, "How should I punish the blue Oni? Will spanking do?"

"Yes, this blue Oni should be spanked for falling on top of you," the blue Oni said.

Okay, I leaned down and started slapping the blue Oni's ass.

"Yes, punish me harder!"

"Uh, okay?" I slapped her ass again and again. It wasn't hard to tell that she was getting off on this. She had seemed way too eager to strip naked in a public area and submit to me without any prompting. Still, I kept slapping her ass.

The red Oni got beside me. "I want to punish her too."

Together we both kept slapping the blue One's buttcheeks. I'd slap her left buttcheek, while the red Oni would slap her right.

"What are you doing?" came Phoenix's monotone voice.

We turned round to see Phoenix, Skye and Amaya walking towards us. Phoenix folded her arms over her chest as she came to a halt a few steps away from me.

"Err... Disciplining this blue girl," I said.

"I apologise for this sight. In penance, I demand that you all spank me as well," the blue Oni said.

"We don't have time for this crap," Phoenix said, "They have been seeking the king."

Skye nodded in agreement with Phoenix's statement.

"Yes, we wish to return King Felix to Queen Ortensia," the red Oni said.

Queen Ortensia was the ruling monarch of Fantasy World. If I'm the reincarnation of their king, then she'd be my wife.

I dropped my gaze and hung my head slightly, "But I gotta find Duncan and Dawn..."

"Are they your friends?" the blue Oni asked, sympathetically.

Skye and Amaya exchanged glances, Amaya clutching both hands close to her heart. Phoenix shut her eyes sympathetically, turning away slightly. Anything could have happened to my friends by now. And the last time I'd seen them... Duncan had been acting weird. Something was wrong. And if he was still like that, then...

"Hey!" the blue Oni said, "Why don't you come with us? We can go to other worlds on our vessel. Maybe we can find them there."

The red Oni looked over as the blue Oni, "But we have to return him to Queen Ortensia."

"I don't know who that is. I can tell you think I'm this King Felix person, but I don't remember that life. I only remember being just plain old human Felix. I don't remember Ortensia, I remember Duncan and Dawn."

The blue Oni looked down at the red Oni and leaned close to her, before whispering someone to her.

The red Oni rolled her eyes as she turned to the blue Oni, "Fine, we'll help you find your friends."

Phoenix walked slowly over to me and put one hand on my shoulder, "Felix, go with them, " she told me sternly, "Especially if you want to find your friends. We will keep a watch here. Clearly, you are needed elsewhere."

"We've been all over this place, Felix," Skye added, "And I can tell you there are is no Duncan or Dawn here. Your best bet is to explore other worlds."

"Besides," Phoenix continued, "if you go with them, you might find out someway to stop the darkness."

I gave them a smile and nodded, "Okay, why not? I'll go with you girls."

The red Oni looked at me and smiled, holding out one hand, "Glaze Canon," she introduced herself.

"Name's Tank," said the blue Oni, "All for one, one for all."

"Well, I'm Felix."

It looked like the start of a beautiful new friendship.

"Make sure you're prepared for the journey ahead of you," Phoenix said sternly, her arms folded over her chest as she looked at me, "We don't know how far the darkness has spread."

"This is all from us," Amaya said softly, holding out a small sack. I took it with both hands and peered inside. The bags as filled with small gold coins, ranging in size, each of them labeled with numbers, the currency of this world.

Amaya smiled warmly, "Spend it as you see fit."

"Don’t blow it all at once, ‘kay? Good luck!" Skye chirped.

"I hope you find your friends," Amaya said, gently putting her hand on my shoulder.

"Look out for each other," Phoenix said more sternly than before. She gave a firm nod as she looked at me straight in the eyes, "Keep your spirits up."

Ever since I'd defeated the knight, all that the three of them had done was tell me all about my duties as a "hero".

"I always wanted to be a hero. It's why me and Duncan took Elder Scrolls and Fallout so seriously. All of this is exciting. I should be excited. And I am, mostly, but not as much as I thought I’d be. I’m a little scared. What if I can’t find my friends? What if I can’t figure out a way to fix everything?" I pause, "What if I can’t be a hero?"

Amaya said, "You’re serious about being a hero, I can tell. So I know you will be one. Even if you goof around, or make a mistake, or find you can’t achieve everything you set out to do, you can still be a hero regardless of those things, so long as your heart is in the right place."

"Thank you, Amaya. That means a lot."

I nodded firmly in response to everything, tucking the bag of money away.

Glaze cleared her throat and tugged at my arm, "The ship is inside the dome," she gestured to the big dome in the Futurology District that was visible from here.

Tank grinned widely, "Wait 'til you see it!"

"Well, I see big adventures coming our way!" came a small voice.

I blinked, confused. I couldn't see anybody. That is, until something began to jump into the air from Tank's shoulder.

"Over here!" came a small voice.

The voice belonged to a small cricket that stood upright on his hind legs, supporting himself with a cane.

"Cricket's the name," he said with a bow, "At your service. Queen Ortensia sent me here to keep track of our adventure in my journal!"

Though I didn't know what to expect from the worlds beyond, one thing was clear: I'd have to face new and exciting challenges. There was no telling how many worlds, the demons had claimed. My friends were still missing, and they could be just about anywhere, but I was ready for whatever the worlds had in store.
