Chapter 12 by Forcy Forcy

What does he tell her?

The Truth...from a Certain Point of View

"That's a long story," I said slowly, thinking my words carefully. "And to be honest, the answers may freak you out. Ignorance being bliss and all of that."

She bit her bottom lip before locking her gaze with mine and my heart went out for her when I saw the lost puppy look on her face.

"Please" She pleaded. "I can't shake the feeling that I am going crazy."

I sighed, realizing I messed her up somewhat by materializing in her shower without checking. So, I decided to gently tell her the truth...while keeping the part that her reality was considered a fictional TV Show from my dimension to myself. No need to shatter her mind with such a cultural shock.

"Tell me, Anna, have you ever wonder if God created a multiverse instead of a single physical universe?"

Anna blinked at that. "Like...that scientific theory that proposes the idea of parallel universes?"

"Pretty much," I said in agreement.

Anna hesitated for a moment before nodding slowly.

"My parents never agreed with me on that front, so it's not a topic I usually brought up but...a part of me was convinced that this idea made sense, for some reason," She told me. "I could never quite put my finger on why I have always felt that way, though."

"Hmm, interesting," I thought. "Must be part of her instinctive angelic knowledge."

Anna started shaking her head as if trying to clear it. I scratched my chin, realizing some of her suppressed memories might be starting to push through.

"Well," I went on, "This may sound more than a little crazy but...it's all true. I am not from this dimension."

Anna's eyes widened slightly but other than that she actually looked quite subdued, all things considered.

"Somehow, I could feel there was something strange and...otherworldly powerful about you," She admitted, her voice small. "Are you an...angel?"

I chuckled at the irony. "No, but hold that thought as there is something on that front I wish to tell you later."

The redhead looked puzzled. "Then who and what are you?"

I took a deep breath before replying, realizing this would be the first time I say it aloud.

"In my home universe, I was born human," I began, "But then one day, the main creator of the multiverse chose to turn me into his experiment. He wanted to see what a mortal, born and raised, would do with next to limitless power and this allowed me to travel across the cosmos, all the way to this dimension. In other words Anna...I guess you could call me God's apprentice."

The former angel remained quiet for a long moment, her jaw-dropping as she processed that information. I gave her time to process that revelation but it was only a matter of time before she started babbling. I rubbed my forehead at her reaction, hoping I didn't freak her out too much.

"This is insane and blasphemous and...why can I feel it in my bones that you are telling me the truth?" She asked bewildered, her wide eyes **** for answers. "Please tell me, if you are saying the truth then why did you come here to me...what do you know that I don't?"

I paused, as I contemplated my next course of action.

What happens next?
