With all the major races accounted for they all agreed that it has become time to reconstruct what was considered one of the greatest achievements of the fourth era. The Eye of Knowledge. It was a library that contained a copy of each document of each race of the known world. It was basically the knowledge of the world. Or the Memory of the World as some referred to it.

Alas with the ending of the fourth era due to the waning of mana each race took their part with them into the crystal-powered havens to bridge the magickless fifth era that was to come. Until only the humans were left because although there were human magick users magick wasn't intricately part of their life as with the other races. This time however they wanted it to last.

Thus they chose a small mountain range that hadn’t been used to house a shelter as with all the Waking Grounds. And they hoped it would be a very long time before they need to use it this way. This time however the time constraint was self-imposed and not **** upon them by circumstances like with the third and fifth eras. The fifth era was a natural phenomenon and thus to be expected. The third era however was brought about by themselves and the consequence of arrogance and carelessness.

This being said they would build The New Eye of Knowledge using the same technology -- actually one Eye per race so 'The Eyes of Knowledge' would make sense too, but it has always been known as The Eye of Knowledge so let's stick with that .
So they carved out a great cavern to house the different modules for the different races. Each module or Eye was built to contain two parts: the pupil with race-specific data, and the iris with data that also relate to other races.
It took some time to erect the building but most time was spent getting everything filled up.

At the first decennial of Mythica however it was fully operational with for every known race a section managed by a native librarian. Because it was built in a modular way when a new race would emerge a new module could be added. The same goes in the case that a race's section runs out of space.
The last thing that had to be done was the initialization of the Ocular. A large circular touchscreen just inside the cavern that serves as a search-engine for the library catalog of the New Eye of Knowledge.

During the festivities to celebrate the first decennial of Mythica a monument was unveiled in front of the New Eye of Knowledge. It consists of a rock with the following text engraved in it.

History to stories
And stories to myth

Since one needs more than just librarians to run a library, especially one of this size, soon all kinds of people flocked to the site of the New Eye of Knowledge. And so accommodations for those that work at the library rose up mirroring the sections of the different races in the library itself, but in contrast to the mega-cities which are usually dominated by humans, the enclaves of each race are more or less equal in size. And because the inhabitants of the enclaves work together anyway the portions of the new town that grows around the library are more open to mingling than those in the mega-cities.

And just because of this interracial vibe the Mythica Council decided to centralize and host all their administrative services there too. This lead to a new building spree as new offices for the Council had to be erected and new accommodations for the ensuing influx of population to the site of the New Eye of Knowledge had to be built too. Once installed everyone agreed that the now new city should have its own name, hence they call it Mythica Central and in one go the following abbreviations are standardized: MCg the Mythica Group who handles the Waking Grounds, MC the Mythica Council aka the governing body of Mythica and MC 1 the city of Mythica Central self.
