Super powers

Lara was tired of being afraid of the curse and wondered if she could turn it to her advantage like maybe being a superhero, unfortunately Lara had never been big on hero stuff growing up and didn't really know of any, perhaps i could try transforming my body into one that's super strong and fast, closing her eyes she imagined a version of herself stronger and lighter than before, as normal the transformation only took a second although it always felt longer to her and when it was done she could feel the increased strength right away not to mention her body felt like it weighed a tenth of what it did before.

Looking around her for something to test her strength on it dawned on her she had nothing in the apartment so unless she wanted to start punching holes in the walls she would need to go out, quickly getting dressed in her one spare change of clothes she headed to the gym, on the way she had to restrain her new speed in public as no matter what she had to keep the curse secret so she tried to walk at a normal pace which was practically ****, she felt like she could out run anything, maybe the gym is not the best place to go first, lets get something to keep my identity secret.

As she opened the door to the costume shop she mentally went over her plan to buy as plain and generic a costume as she could find, Lara was not trying to make a fashion statement she just needed something to hide who she was, after looking around she settled on a black leotard with red gloves and boots plus a black leather face mask, after a quick change she started testing her speed as soon as she got out of sight of the shop and was pleased to find she could easily run faster than any car on the road not only that but she could leap about as high as a house.

Satisfied with her new powers Lara was itching to put them to use so when night fell she put on her costume and went out looking for something to do, wanting to start slow she patrolled the city centre but after an hour of no luck she started moving to the darker parts of town which proved to be immediately more exciting when she finally found and stopped her first mugging within minutes of getting there, next was a car jacking she stopped after lifting the car to prevent them from escaping and finally a robbery, the last one was more difficult as Lara had to say until the police arrived to secure the criminals and being on scene for that long after word of her other deeds started getting around, it turned out people were starting to take notice of her, by the time she had finished giving a statement to the police there was quite a crowd outside.

Not wanting too much attention this quickly she tried her best to avoid the crowds but all she succeed in doing was tiring herself out, deciding that was enough for tonight she slowly headed home, the next morning Lara had not decided if she was going to do the superhero thing regularly or not yet but for now she was full of confidence from the night before and dying to feel the thrill of being a vigilante again, she eagerly waited until night so she could go out.
