Straight to the Collosseum
Teleportation inside of the Great Tomb of Nazarick was impossible for anyone not wearing the ring of Ainz Ooal Gown, a privilege reserved to the supreme beings, but Falthène didn't need one to go wherever and whenever. Once he felt ready to face the arbiter of the supreme beings - after a long session of combing his hair and garning his robe in a dignified manner - all he had to do was open his book of reality and use magic to write inside of it, using only one hand to hold it, leaving the other free for another book, but for now it stays empty.
[Falthène is now at the Colosseum of the sixth level]
Again, reality shifted around him, but in a less, how to say, heavy manner ? All that changed was his localisation. Around him, thousands and thousands of seats places in an oval around the fighting ground, each of thoses seats filled with an earth golem. Behind him, the entry of this place, where the gladiators and invader needs to pass to enter, and at the opposite "end" of this oval was the vip lounge, where the Supreme Beings used to watch the invaders that managed to get to this floor fight for their entertainment. This ritual seemed to be something they imported from their world to here, and something they were very strictly maintaining, you just had to look around to feel the effort and passion that went into building this place, or just to look up. Despite being underground, there was a sky here, a star-filled night sky that extend to the whole floor and have a yearly and daily cycle just like a true one. The craft of a supreme being that a mere creation like him couldn't fathom.
In a respectfull manner, he bows toward the lounge, closing his book and putting it to the side in one swift motion. It's true that their creators left them for whatever reason, probably a reason they could never understand fully, yet they did not need to be present to be worshipped. At the lowest point of his bow, his ears perks up, and he hears... a warning ? As he turns his head, he in instantly engulfed in flame, caught in the crossfire of an A.O.E. attack. Drowned where a special type of undead, they did not have their usual weakness to the fire attribute, they even resisted it, but being both a drowned and a fairy, who had such weakness, he simply had a neutral match up against attack of such nature. When created, the supreme being that molded him made sure that the bi-species he had neutralized any type disavantage possible, leaving only the holy attribute as a weakness. Not for the purpose of creating the strongest npc - originally - but by curiosity, he wanted to see if dual-species, a possibility offered during the expension "From Deep Below", seemingly a reference to an old american writer and when the drowned subspecies was added, was worth the point investment.
Of course, he had multiple equipement that gave him resistances to overall magic, and his magic defense where pretty high, although nowhere near Albedo's. A snap dissipated the flames around him, the book or reality in his hand was replaced by another one, the book of shadows. This is how Falthène's magic works, he doesn't cast spells by himself, but by summoning books each with a multitude of spells inside of them. It has both advantages and inconveniences, for example, the spells inside of thoses books did not need any type of affinity with the user to be used, and could be, thanks to his class old scholar, be amplified as any other spells from high level magicians could be. However, he could only hold two books at once without the use of skills, meaning he could only use two types of magic simultaniously without changing book. Even if changing one took only a split second, against the strongest opponent this split second could be lethal. It also revealed what kind of magic he was about to use before he did so.
But he has multiple skills to make it work despite all of that, as in strenght, his only rival amongst the npc were the guardian of the first three floors and the little sister of the regeant, at least in 1v1. As he raises his head and dust off the embers that flew to his robe, a quick look around made it clear that he was interrupting some sort of training. He turns toward the four people here, aside from him. A fire elemental, massive at that, much more than thoses he could summon with his book of the Ars Goetia, two kid-looking elfs that had a concerned look on their faces, and a lich dressed in the fanciest robe he had ever seen, olding a golden staff that radiated strenght and magic. He bowed down again in his direction, putting away his new book inside his inventory by dropping it.
"My apologises, lord Momonga. I seem to have interrupted your amusement."
With his quick thinking, it was the conclusion he came to. Mare Bello Fiore and Aura Bella Fiore, both guardian of the sixth level, where powerfull opponents to face when together, Mare in particuliar was the floor guardian with the deadliest aoe attacks of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, where Falthène was the one with the strongest mind controlling abilities, so much so that he could convince reality himself and use it as an attack. If it was one of his attack he appeared in the middle of, a bit of soot would be the last of his problems. Another example as to why you can't use the book of reality without intense consideration.
"Do not be, it was inconsiderate of me to held this training while knowing that there is no way to predict where and when you will teleport to come at my request. I apolo-"
"Please don't my lord. The blame is on me, i would not dare put it on you." Quickly cutted Falthène. He raised his head once permission was granted, stepping closer to the trio as the summoning disappeared. It seemed already near it's end, if Falthène eyes saw correctly - wich they did - so it is fair to say that this is undoubtedly a victory for the twins. Two beautifull dark elfs, one dressed as a male ranger with dragon scales and whips despite being a girl, and the other dressed as a female mage with a long dress and a wooden staff bigger than himself despite being a man. Even their attitude were clear opposite of one another, the girl standing straight and confidently, the man crooched as if trying to hide behind his weapon. This is how the twin dark elves with odd-eyes, one blue the other green, were made, after all.
"Aura, Mare, sorry for butting in."
"It's fine it's fine, we were almost done anyway." said arrogantly the beast tamer. Well, she was right for sure, and she wears her confidence quite beautifully.
"Y-yeah, it's no i-issue mr.Falthène..."
"Thank you both." A quick nod, before looking specifically at Mare. This was both the first and not time they met, memories of past interaction were vivid in his head, and a certain affection for the innocent and meek druid too. "Did you enjoy the book i recommended you, Mare ?"
"Y-yes ! It was a beau-tiful story, thank you ! I'll g-give it back soon." So adorable. Such a pure heart was too good to read the atrociously detailed book he was almost choosing before the red-hair intervened. As much as corrupting the innocent, the pure and the pretty was in his coding, he could not direct such thoughts towards his comrades of Nazarick.
"I'm happy to hear it."
"You two are familliar with one another ?" Asked the skeleton, making the two friends snap back to the situation at hand and turn towards him. Of course, he needed to be included in the discussion if he wanted to.
"Mare is a frequent user of Ashurbanipal, we have similar tastes in litterature and bounded over that."
"Similar tastes you say..." Did he sound concerned ? He had reason to be, after all, the floor guardian had a reputation, one he wasn't ashamed of, but could be seen in a bad light around Mare.
"Nothing **** my lord."
"I see." Barely audible, but to the hearing of all floor guardian present, it sounded loud and clear. "Once again, thanks for coming on such short notice."
"It is but my duty my lord, i'm unbecoming of your thanks."
"Hm." He seems to look away, even if it's hard to notice, as he didn't have any eyeballs, but between undeads, thoses kind of things were easier to notice. "Are you thirsty by any chance, Mare, Aura, and you too, Falthène ?"
The fairy was about to politely deny it, as a floor guardian, he had a ring allowing him to always be full and hydrated, so does Aura and Mare without the shadow of a doubt. It was a good thing, as Falthène eating habits were messy and complicated. But before he had the chance to, the overlord pulled from the nether a jug of water and three glasses. He silences the words coming up his throat, if his lord wanted to give them something then, he shall gracefully accept.
"We are undeserving my lord, i cannot thank you enough."
Each of them had a specific way of drinking their gift. Mare was holding the glass carefully, siping slowly, making sure to enjoy each of them as if drinking nectar - wich should be treated as such, as it was given to them by a supreme being - while Aura had a more reckless way of drinking. Gulping it down in a quick manner, tilting her head backwards as dropplet of water escaped the edge of her lips and falled down her slender neck. Overall, both of them drank it in a rather "normal" manner, Falthène however raised the glasse above his shoulder, here his gills and sensors where located, before slowly tilting the glass to pour its content on them. Gulping noises, distracting, but not all that repulsive, could be heard as his sensors jerked at the cold water and his gills opened and closed to drink. For a drowned, a creature of the deep sea, this was the best way to enjoy water, and enjoying it he was, his pale, dead eyes slightly glowing as to betray his calm face like the wagging of a tail would.
The head of the overlord turns away again, this time not to avoid his stare, but to look at a specific point, that Falthène looked at too. Contrary to his teleportation, that didn't use magic or mana, therefore couldn't be affected by the restrictions put in place here, a huge amount of mana was gathering on the ground. Sign of the exit of a teleportation portal that must have been opened on this floor. The twins already had given back their glasses, the portal was opened when the drowned was halfway through it, drinking it slowly to not let any of it hit the ground. The person coming out from this portal was not someone he ever met, be it in this new reality or the previous one.
