Chapter 6

Pure Vampire
Shadows started to amass on the ground, then formed a door with unnecessary decorations on it. At least that's what thought the fairy. And once it opened, a shadowy figure stepped out of the frame. A seemingly young lady wearing a victorian dress, black and red, with corset and a bolero all in ribbons and ruffles. With her evasive dress, it gave her a sense of volume, although her arms were really slender, so she must be somewhat slender. Not that he could tell, she covered almost all part of her body, bare from her face wich had a juvenile beauty to it. Big round eyes, pale and shining skin without an imperfection in sight, and a smile too mature for thoses features. The librarian lost his line of thought watching her approach, detailling her as much as he could with an expert eyes, coming back to reality when he realized his glasse was empty.
"Would you see that ? Someone arrived before me."
The closer she gets, the more he could swear a soft breeze was making her silver hair float, be it her ponytail or the strands dancing on her face. Discretely, he hands back the glass to it's original owner, his lord, thanking him once again. Unseen by the newcomer, as she seemed to start an... Argument with Aura ?
"Why using [Portal], teleportations are prohibited inside of Nazarick, with the sole exception of Falthène. You must have come here on foot, you could have join us in the same manner, Shalltear." Was that anger in her voice ? Why ? As long as she respects the rules, who care how she comes here. The fairy thought it was a rather impressive arrival, albeit he had some reserves on the door.
A quick look at his master confirmed that this wasn't something "normal", Mare seemed scared, he did tell the drowned that his sister had a bit of a temper. Althought "a bit" was a generous description seeing the flip that occured. In comparaison, the so-called Shalltear didn't even look in her direction. That name didn't ring hollow to the floor guardian, it's the name of the strongest floor guardian of the previous reality, and in this one, her equal. The guardian of the first three floors who'se power is only surpassed among the npc by Gargantua - but that doesnt count - and himself now. She had a nice smell to her, a bit lustfull, making him gulp. It didn't help that she was his type, a pure looking lady corrupted by her nature as a vampire.
"It reeks..." sigh Aura with venom in her words. "Must be because she's an undead."
In a brief moment of synchronisation, both the drowned and the overlord raised their arms to verify, Falthène couldn't say for normal undead or low-class vampire, but drowned smelled of the deep, and it often was a rancid smell of putrefaction, as their body were thoses of drowned victims. He was however lucky enough to be a fairy, whose body does not rot even in ****. All he could pick up was the smell of books and salted air from himself.
"You should be more carefull with your words. Our lord is an undead must i remind you ?"
"What ?! What are you talking about Shalltear ! Lord Momonga can not be simply an undead, he must be like, a super undead !"
That's a childish way to describe it, but the librarian can assure that there is nothing normal or simple with the kind of undead that Lord Momonga is. He might as well have transcended the concept of life, **** and everything in between and beyond.
"She... She is right Aura. You shouldn't say that... Falthène too is an undead..."
"You... You think ? OK ! Let me try again ! Hum... You must stink because of your rotten flesh !"
Well, at least this wasn't insulting to the supreme being or the floor guardian, as his own flesh could not rot. So that was a pretty good second try. Although it being a retry sort of nullify all the punch it would initially have.
"Yes, i believe that would be better." Seems the vampire accepted it too. But didn't engage in it more than that, instead putting her arms around the skeleton, almost hugging him, but not forcing herself, or rather forcing herself not to. "Ah, My lord... My love, one of the only ones i cannot control."
Falthène didn't react much to that, everyone is free to express their fidelity in the way that suits them, even more, isn't love the highest form of worship ? No, he was rather intrigued by how red her tongue seemed when she licked her lips. The biology of vampires was really different from that of the drowned.
"Leave him alone would you."
Oh, seems she finally deems it worth it to responds to the heavy tone of the dark elf. "Oh, brat ? You were there ? I couldn't see you, i thought you wouldn't dare come."
Well, here goes the maturity that she seemed to have over her... Rival ? A bit disappointing, but somewhat endearing. Now she turns to the librarian, politely greeting him in a royal manner.
"Sorry for the behaviour of this brat earlier, she is but a growing child, she does not know what she says. I'm Shalltear Bloodfallen, i'm assuming you are the guardian of the tenth floor ?"
Ignoring the angered elf and leaving it to her brother, Falthène mirrors the greeting. "No harm done. I am indeed, my name is Falthène... Lifeless Hearmade. It's an honor to be known by the strongest guardian. "
"It would be rather odd that i do not know of you. My creator often sang praises of yours and your "build"..." she whispers "Whatever that means." before closing the distances between the two of them, daringly closing in on his face too, looking straight at his eyes. "You do not look how i pictured you however."
Too close, way too close. But even if he tried to take a step back, she followed by a step forward, unblinking, it was common for an undead to not. He couldn't look away either, he felt like thoses eyes were piercing his soul - or whatever was left of it.
"What peculiar eyes... They look just like... Two full moons"
but as she said that, the librarian couldn't help himself but to comment on her eyes too, in a whisper said at the exact same moment. "Just like two bloody suns..."
