Start working.

You make your way through the store and into the backroom. You open your locker, and pull out your Alice name tag to clip it onto your shirt. Sadly, you still have a few minutes until the shift actually begins, so you wait around--have a drink of water, hum, ponder. Though as you do this, your boss walks in, and gives you a strange look.

He looks to your name tag, then back to your face. At least, you assume he was glancing at the tag. Words don't come to him at first, but you give him a moment.

"Wait. Alice? Troublefield? You got a haircut, I think."

You roll your eyes. "That and a few other things, yes."

You honestly don't remember his actual full name, because everyone just calls him Bill. He has dark brown skin, short black hair, and an impressively thick moustache. He also has a big of girth to his stomach. All in all, you've never had any trouble with him, but you've really not spoken to him much at all. There are a lot of employees where you work, so it isn't that surprising.

"I hardly recognized you. I thought someone snuck up here or something!" He laughs. "Well, sorry to bug you. Just saying hi."

You wave him off.

He was totally checking you out, and while it does feel good to see how many people just can't help themselves, it's time to punch in for the day. You put in your ID code and make your way onto the sales floor. You've done this enough times to know what you're supposed to be doing. Besides people continuing to shoot their attention over to you as they spot you, the start of your shift is mostly uneventful. You talk to a few coworkers, load up some boxes, and now it's time to make your way to the floor to fill shelves. Exciting!
