Slime room

“Aha! You want that swimsuit”, Sanakia grinned at me. “A most excellent choice, my Lord! It will suit you most fetchingly!”

No, it won’t!

But my intuition told me that the slime room was the better choice. There was something about those ropes that I don’t like.

First I ordered Sanakia to help me drag the surprisingly heavy treasure chest towards the entry way of the pool room and used it as an impromptu door stopper.

“In case Sylphid and Lucky come through the rope room”, I explained to the confused Sexy-Knight. “That way they knew were we went.”

“A most cunning ploy, my Lord!”, the Galmon gushed while scooping up the level up candy and store them...in her armor.

Meanwhile I carefully walked to the edge of the pool of slime and investigated it. The pool itself was huge. I wouldn’t even make it a third the way if I attempted to jump it. And it covered the entire middle portion of the room. No walkway or something of the sort either. In other words, there was no way of getting to the other side without wading through the slime.

Scooping up a little bit of the blue, gooey substance caused a slight tingly sensation in the palm of my hand. Curious...

“My Lord! I shall go first!”, Sanakia announced before I was even done properly investigating the pool.

“B-But...”

“We mustn’t risk you!”, the Sexy-Knight insisted. “Do not worry, just remain here until I have confirmed that the pool is safe to traverse.”

...

No one ever dies in here, so it should be fine.

“Fine”, I agreed. “But you should strip too. We don’t know how deep that pit is and that armor of yours is weighing you down too much.”

“B-But my Lord…”, the Sexy-Knight blushed. “You wish to see me naked that much?”

Above all else I don’t want to see you drown. “I’m naked too. And your strength increases tremendously while naked.”, I answered instead.

“V-Very well…” Still hesitant but also very excited by the prospect, the Sexy-Knight stripped herself out of her bikini armor.

“N-Now w-we are both naked”, she said with a shaky smile while flimsily covering up her supple body. “T-that must have been your true intentions, r-right? H-How salacious of you, my Lord…to debase your own squire to such an extent...ha...haa….s-shameful...”

I slapped her on the butt. “Just get in there, you horny knight!”

“Eeek! A-alright..j-just sit tight here, my Lord!”

Taking a deep breath, she faced the pool.

Then the Sexy-Knight plugged her nose shut and jumped into the pool with a short hop.

“Eeek. I can’t swiiiiiim!”

THEN WHY DID YOU JUMP IN!?

I already got ready to dive in after her, but after a bit of panicked flailing it turned out that the slime only came up to Sanakia’s tights.

It was impossible to tell with this thick blue goo but the pool appeared to be rather shallow after all.

“Ugh…”, The Sexy-Knight winced, clearly repulsed by the disgusting substance sticking to her body.

It did make for a pretty erotic picture though.

“Can you stand?”, I asked, quickly dispelling any lewd thoughts from my brain. “Is there solid ground?”

“Y-Yes”, Sanakia replied, turning herself around and shifting her weight to test the waters(or slime) “This is most definitely marble beneath my feet, my Lord.”

Good. I was worried the slime might act like quicksand.

That didn’t stop the Galmon from wincing though as she attempted to clear some of the slime from her upper body.

“How does it feel?”, I asked.

“W-weird”, Sanakia answered, a blush still visible on her face. “But I will be able to bear it, my Lord. Witness me! I clear the path!”

“Be careful”, I warned her while pulling the Kyan-Kyan suit around my waist like a rope. I won’t get the evasion bonus like this but this will keep it from getting slime on it. I probably can carry Sanakia’s armor with me too if the pool is that shallow.

Of course, I wasn’t expecting it to be that easy.

Sanakia proceeded to slowly and deliberately wade through the pool of slime. Meanwhile, I made sure to scan the surface for any movement or disturbance.

If there was a monster lurking in there, the best time to attack would be when she is right in the middle. Without any weapons to defend herself and her movement impeded like that, that would be catastrophic. So I need to warn Sanakia as soon as possible.

But the surface remained smooth and the naked Sexy-Knight reached and crossed the middle portion without issue.

...

Maybe this was really all there is to it? Just a really gross slime pit to get through for this room.

The moment the Sexy-Knight reached the last third of the pool that assumption quickly changed.

“Eeeeeeeek!”

Sanakia suddenly plunged deep into the slime!

My body reacted on instincts. I immediately jumped into the pool.

The Sexy-Knight made it look easy but moving through the thick slime was surprisingly difficult. Still I wasn’ t about to let that stop me.

Moving towards the point where Sanakia dropped, I realized what happened. Right before the final stretch of the pool was a big drop! Sanakia barely managed to keep her head above the slime and was trashing around violently.

She wasn’t sinking at least.

It’s fine, I can get her out. I just need to tell her to calm down and...

Just as I was about to reach Sanakia, an icy sensation engulfed my entire body.

Touch starved had just kicked in.

Crap! I completely forgot about that! This was bad! The freeze condition would only get worse and soon obstruct my movement drastically. Gritting my teeth, I rushed towards Sanakia.

“Sanakia…!”

BLAM!

I was rewarded for my efforts with a punch to the face.

The attack hit me like a speeding Upy-carriage and for a moment I saw stars. Sanakia’s nude strength increase can’t be taken lightly. If it weren’t for my own increase in HP this would probably have knocked me out cold.

“H-Hey, calm down!”, I commanded.

Luckily, she still had to follow my orders and that did the trick.

At first I considered pulling Sanakia back towards the shallow end but if we do that we only end up trapped. The only way forward was through this pool. Using up the last energy my body managed to muster, I slowly pushed Sanakia towards the pool’s edge. From there, the Sexy-Knight climbed back on land before pulling me up too. By the time we at last emerged, we were completely covered in the sticky blue goop and utterly exhausted.
