She sneaks a taste or two...

She was typically a shy girl and was usually content to hide away in the back of the cave whenever something else came by, but she hadn't eaten all day, and that large pile of metal armor covered in gems and jewels was presenting a meal finer than anything she had ever seen.

"I'll just help myself to a few of the smaller stones," she thought to herself as she oozed her way slowly towards the knight's discarded armor. "They wont notice something like that..."

She started with a couple of the rubies on the knight's helmet, a quiet hissing sound filling the cave as the jewels were engulfed and then dissolved by slime girl. The knight was very pre-occupied at the moment and failed to notice.

"Oh wow! These are amazing!" Thought the slime, her mass slowly enlarging as it absorbed the material.

"I wonder how these blue ones taste?" She thought, as she slowly spread herself out further and began dissolving a few more stones.

"Those were even better!" In her excitement she had also started dissolving some of the metal surrounding them as well, and soon the helmet resembled something closer to a bowl than a piece of protective headwear.

"Ok, ok, I better stop now. I don't want to make this too obvious, otherwise they might find out and chase me with that hot, ouchie fire. I'll just try to even this out and then I'll go hide until they leave."

The slime continued dissolving a little more and then began to ooze away... only to come back a moment later.

"You know what, it's probably better if I just get rid of this thing," the slime thought as she consumed the rest of it. "This way they'll just think they dropped it somewhere."

The slime began to move away once again, but didn't get very far before she came back yet again.

"It's their fault for leaving this out and letting it go to waste. I mean, what if I had left some human food like a cow or a chair (they eat those, right?) just lying on their floor? I wouldn't be mad if they ate it. After all, it would be my own fault for not tidying up..."

The ooze returned her gaze to the rest of the armor, wondering what to sample next.

"Ah to Hell with it!" Thought the ooze as she scooped the rest of it up and began dissolving all of the armor at once. The hissing sound was much louder this time, and by the time she finished she was big as a cow.

"Mmmmmm, oh, I think I might have over done it some," she thought, as a few air pockets from the dissolving material bubbled towards her surface. "Oh this is embarrassing."

The slime girl was soon brought out of her food coma by the sounds of human screams coming from the other side of the cave. She looked up to what the commotion was about.
