Chapter 11 by MidbossMan MidbossMan

How will you instruct Keiko to defeat this first attack?

She should attack with remote blades for now, while she closes distance!

With all of these weapons... Shiryoku's weakness had to be a close range battle, right? She was barely moving at all, just standing in one place. Her mobility seemed pretty poor. If Keiko could close in, she could easily destroy that gear... and destroying the gear would impair Shiryoku's ability to make orders, too! You ordered Keiko to proceed along those lines.

It turned out to be... about as hard as it looked. With all of those bombs falling, Keiko's remote blades seemed pretty poorly suited in comparison. The blades shot out towards Shiryoku, but instead of connecting, they sailed haplessly by. Keiko couldn't focus, because she was so busy dodging that absurd number of bombs on her way over. "Dodging" was a bit of a strong word... you could tell Keiko's gear hadn't escaped unscathed. Her helmet was still on, but patched with black soot, and other parts of her gear, from her leggings, to boots, to gauntlets, to leotard, were blown open in large, messy spots. In fact, you could already see the taut white band of her fundoshi showing through the back of the leotard... you decided to keep that troubling info to yourself. The judges modified the screen to show that her score had been reduced to T3 already.

The worst part of it was that approaching Shiryoku was proving pretty darn difficult. The bomb packages were dropping in strategic locations to prevent Keiko from closing in!

Of course... Shiryoku had ordered more than just bombs. Calmly, she stepped to one side where a large metal crate had fallen, then pressed a few buttons on the container in sequence. The crate opened up to reveal an unsettling wooden structure, which embedded roots into the ground and pointed an extending, gnarled tree branch towards your priestess... from its tip, the bud of a flower extended, then opened to reveal a sort of spout... The tree turned, following Keiko's movements...

That's it! The automatic turrets that Shiryoku had ordered! The bombs had been bad enough, but these things would operate without the enemy lifting a finger!

"Are you going to make any orders? You can't win on your lonesome," Shiryoku advised Keiko, calmly adjusting her glasses, while returning to her original spot in a slow stroll.

((Body +1))

How should Keiko handle the turrets?
