Chapter 2
by Superflie
How does will react?
She dodges
In a split second decision, she leaps to the side. She fires another arrow just as Brutus hits the ground hitting him in the leg. This causes Brutus to scream out and grab his leg. This gives her the chance to leap at him and knock him down. She holds her dagger to his throat. "Looks like that's my win." Willow snickers.
Brutus grunts but knows he lost, feeling the blood run down his arm and leg. "Next time then." Brutus laughs as well.
Frustrated that her plan to get him to leave her alone failed, Willow jumps up and puts her dagger away. "The results will be the same." Willow walks away, back towards Alesander. Pushing through the small crowd that had formed around them.
Just as Brutus stands up, and a few students run up to Brutus to heal his wounds. "Get away from me!" Brutus pushes the other people away after getting healed. "It'll be all the sweeter when I finally beat you." Brutus marches off.
The twins stand alone in front of the school. "Well, maybe we should get home, tomorrow we get companions and start our new lives as heroes." Willow walks away.
Alesander just looks up the school. Tomorrow he's one step closer to his dream.

Early in the morning, there is a knock on the door. Then a large man walked into the house. It was the headmaster of the school. "Welcome headmaster." Alesander welcomes him to there house.
"Thank you young hero, I hope you are ready, for today is the first day of the rest of your life." The headmaster smiles with gentle eyes. "And I've come to give you my final gift." The headmaster opens his hand and a small purple like flies out and floats over to Alesander. After a moment, the light grows and a small fairy with deep purple wings and hair emerges from the light. She looked like a small human, but with pointed ears and wings. "This is Arla, your hero companion."
The small woman flies straight up to Alesander's face and smiles. "Hey, I'm Arla, and I hope we'll get along"
"I'm Alesander." He puts his hand out for a handshake, not really knowing how to greet her.
She then floats up to hug his face. "Fairies hug!" she exclaims. Her enthusiasm is infectious and Alesander puts his hand on her back to try and hug back. "I've trained my whole life for this moment, I'm so excited." Hearing her say that fills him with joy. He too has trained for so long for this.
"Well, together, we'll become Legendary Heroes!" Alesander spins around with Arla.
"Ah, I see you two get along just fine. Finally a good match." The headmaster sighs.
"What do you mean?" Alesandra stops and looks over at the headmaster.
"I visited the other two first, and it seems their companions have conflicting personalities." The headmaster looks worried for a moment. "But I'm sure they'll get along and be great heroes." The headmaster then has a hearty laugh. "Now is your sister home? She also needs to meet her companion, then I'll tell you two about them."
"She's in her room, just down the hall and knock of the last door." Alesander points behind him and the headmaster walks away.
"Are we really doing to become Legendary heroes?" Arla looks hopefully at Alesander.
"That's my dream. And I feel like if we both work as hard as we can, we can make it." Alesander beams as he talks about his dreams.
"Eeeee, I'm so excited." Arla then flies in circles until she is gets dizzy and hits Alesanders shoulder. "Sorry, sometimes I act before thinking." Then she starts laughing. She seems like she's a bit of a ditz.
Then, the headmaster returns with Willow in tow. She has a fairy with dark green hair and wings sitting on her shoulder. "Now that your both here, I'll let you know what you need to know about your companion." The headmaster sits down at the kitchen table. "So as you know, all heroes have a fairy companion. They are small magical creatures with the ability to cast spells and detect magic. They can fly pretty quickly, but can't take a hit to well. Most fairies that are trained to be hero companions are taught supportive magic, like healing spells. If you keep them safe, they'll keep you alive." The headmaster hold his hands towards Arla and she lands on his hand. "They are humanoid, and have all the same needs and functions as humanoids, they need food and sleep. They have desires and dreams. Please treat them like you would any party member." Arla then flies back to Alesander.
Alesander just looks in awe as Arla flies around, his own companion, It's all so real now. "So now we can go out and begin working as a hero right?" Alesander's excitement grows and begins to boil over.
"Of course, your image has already been spread though out the land. As far as any person on this continent is concerned your true heros." The headmaster stands back up. "And I know you'll be great."
The twins say goodbye to the headmaster and stand in the small hallway of their front door. "So after breakfast we leave then huh?" Willow looks kinda sadly at Alesander.
"It's not like you'll never see me again. We'll team from time to time right?" Alesander eyes glow as he talks.
"Of course, we're the twin heroes after all." Willow is reassured by her brothers words.
The two heroes and their companions all eat breakfast and chat around the table. Willow's fairy is named Naemel and seems sort of lazy. She doesn't fly around like Arla, who seems to not be able to sit still. She just flies when she has to, and sits on Willow's shoulder or head as often as possible. While eating, Alesander looks at Arla more. He examines her clothes. She wears a small skirt and shirt that doesn't cover her belly button. And Naemel wears the same. One thing that Alesander does notice though while Arla flies around, is she doesn't have on any underwear on. He shakes his head to get any thoughts about it out and finishes eating.
After breakfast, the twins finish packing their bags, and walk out the front door of their house. After a hug and goodbyes, the twins walk separate ways. Beginning their lives as heroes.
"So Al, where we going first." Arla asks.
"We head south, and make out way to the city of Larn. The home of the greatest Legendary Hero Zeross." Alesander speeds off down the road. "First stop, a small town call Kraska." The two walk faster as they talk, and eventually they are running out of the city, and down the road to begin their adventure together.
What happens in Kraska?
