Jervale sighed. No challenger had arrived yet. Using the mind's eye granted by the crystal to view the hated tower tenants was a bit like hate-watching a movie on a streaming service... "And yet, I now realize I never bothered to record our own details as profiles. That's something to do, I suppose..."
As the demon spread his arms, then swept them through the air, a scroll unfurled itself before him and an inked quill pen flew to his hand. The original demon scanned the tower for the other unfortunate souls who shared the tower with him, blessed with their own power but bound by his same curse: to serve the princess and protect her until the demon lord returned, an occasion that was seeming less and less plausible with every passing year.
