Chapter 11 by Wulfblade Wulfblade

Retain modesty in exchange for the job

BARD: Can I tell how she’s handling this revelation? Is she impressed with us? Smitten? Head over heels? Plotting our demise?

DM: You can roll an insight check

BARD: >Clickity clack 18! Almost as high as I can go!

DM: The flush of embarrassment has crept up her cheeks, but you can tell it is accompanied by a surprising surge of arousal and awe. She glances down at herself, and you can tell her imagination must be running wild with the tantalizing notion that she is, in actuality, standing there completely naked beneath the illusion… and no one in the tavern is aware just how heavily the retention of her modesty hangs by the thin thread of your mercy. You even have to adjust the contours of the illusion slightly, to avoid her perked nipples accidentally clipping through it.

SORCERER: "We won't lift the illusion," I say with a mischievous smile etched on my face that could be interpreted as both a promise and a threat, "if you offer us the job you promised."

DM: The barmaid, her heart pounding with a mix of emotions, slowly nods in agreement, torn between the embarrassment of potentially being exposed and the electric thrill of the risqué charade. She looks around nervously, assuring herself none of the other patrons have actually caught on to the secret lurking under their very noses. "Alright, alright. You've certainly proven yourselves, I'll give you that. The job is yours." She quickly looks around to ensure no one is eavesdropping before continuing, ”Meet me in the alley behind the tavern and I'll give you directions to Lana."

The barmaid then disappears amidst the bustling crowd, the illusion continuing to preserve her modesty as she moves about.

ROGUE, turning to the others: "Well played. This might be the most unconventional job interview we've ever taken part in."

BARD, chuckling: "Sometimes, my dear rogue, you have to think outside the box... or, in this case, the dress."
