Character submition

Hello everyone,
Now that the mechanics behind ranks, classes, guilds and magic have been explained, Darx00 and I have a question for you.

Would like to submit an adventurer?

Darx00 and I are both planning a lot of chapters, but even we can’t come up with an unlimited amount of characters for our main cast to work with/against. Instead, we’d like for the readers to offer up a few ideas.

But before you start making suggestions, here’s a few rules.

1) No S ranks
There is a set amount of S ranks and all of their characters have already been decided. Therefore, suggestions for new S ranks will not be accepted.

2) No new classes or ranks
The only classes available for use are those that are currently in Kiara’s lesson on ‘adventurer classes’. We have spent a lot of time coming up with both these classes and prestige classes. Any additions will likely make already existing ones obsolete or pointless. Let’s not do that.
We will also not be accepting new ranks. So, don’t come up with any F rank adventurers, also no X ranks. You can already be creative enough with the 5 ranks that are available.

3) No overpowering skills
Characters may have rare skills, but if everybody gives his fighter character the ‘Null field’ skill like Wendy has, this skill will quickly not be rare any more. So please, avoiding rare skills that have already been used. And please, no skills that allow a character to be immortal, giant sized, omnipotent, or would otherwise break the world.

4) Abide by the rank’s skill limitations
In ‘adventurer ranks’ Kiara explains how many skills or magics each rank can have. That means D rank adventurers with 2 magic elements, or B rank adventurers with 5 magic elements are not permitted. Same goes for an E rank with 4 skills.

To give a quick recap
E = 1 skill (casters have 1 magic instead)
D = 2 skills (for casters 1 of these skills is a magic element)
C = 4 skills (for casters 2 of these skills are magic elements)
B = 4 – 5 skills (for casters 2 of these skills are magic elements)
A = 6 – 7 skills (for casters 3 of these skills are magic elements)

4) Don’t invent new basic magic elements.
Among the magic elements that you can give your character, you only get to pick between 8. Fire, Earth, Water, Air, Healing, ****, Light and Dark.

5) Don’t change established combination magic elements
To avoid confusion, fire magic + air magic = always lightning magic. The same combination leading to different results is simply much too confusing.
Darx00 and I have not been able to work out a proper result for every combination, though. So, if you really have to add a new magic element, let it be a combination of elements that is yet left to be filled. Just make it so the combination makes sense and offer a few spells as example.

Quick recap, here are all the established magic elemental combinations we got.

Double combo’s
Earth + water = mud (quicksand)
Earth + fire = magma (lava)
Earth + air = sand

Water + fire = steam
Water + air = ice
Water + light = cleansing
Water + dark = acid

Fire + air = electricity
Fire + necromancy = corrosion (causes metals that can rust to rust)

Air + dark = smoke
Air + **** = plague

Light + ****= ghost magic
Light + healing = Protection

Dark + **** = binding
Dark + healing = mutation

**** + healing = blood magic – caster uses other people’s blood to cause quick healing

Triple combo’s
earth + water + fire = shockwave
earth + water + air = crystal
earth + water + light = nature

earth + fire + air = explosion

Water + fire + air = storm

Water + air + light = illusion

Fire + air + light = Sound
Fire + air + dark = Silence
Fire + air + **** = Nether
Fire + air + healing = Aether

fire + light + healing = purification

air + light + dark = psychic

air + dark + **** = void
air + dark + healing = dream

dark + **** + healing = corruption

6) Darx00 and I reserve the right to make adjustments.
We expect the great majority of you to be proud of the characters you come up with. Which will likely lead to a lot of you coming up with A rank adventurers. But A ranks are supposed to make up only 10% of the adventurers population. If the main character then meets A ranks 50% of the time, there will be a dissonance between what is said and what is shown. Thus, if too many people come up with A ranks, we will demote them one of more ranks to prevent too many of them.

7) Just because you offer up a character, doesn’t mean we are obligated to use it. We will pick the characters which we feel best suit the stories we are trying to tell. It may take weeks, it may take months, and it may even never happen at all.

8) If you agree with all the above rules, and you feel like offering a character for us to use, please select the appropriate class down below and add your character as a chapter to this story. Do please offer the character sheet like suggested below.
