Second week of school

I forgot to set my alarm so mom went to wake me up, it was embarassing but i managed to get that time back and i left the house just in time to catch the bus, i made my way to the school excited because the clubs started this week and also i was going to see Scarlet in person.

I entered the classroom and the first thing i saw was the teacher sitting on his chair with his things on his desk, ready to start class even though there were still 7 minutes before the class started - it was professor Packman and he always goes to class early for some reason so that's why we already had a teacher in class.

I ignored the teacher and i walked to my seat but as i went there and waved at Matthew who was at the back i felt a hand grab my left arm, i looked at my left and saw that Scarlet had grabbed my arm - when i turned my face to her she smiled and she opened her mouth to say something but she was interrupted by May and Daisy that were behind her, May said

"Hey André! Good morning, how are you?" I smiled at her and said "I'm pretty good, how about you girls?" Then Daisy said "Well is monday so how do you think i feel?" I chuckled and jokingly said "Daisy you always look tired from everything so you better gather energy for today... we have book club right?" They all nodded and Scarlet said "Yeah, hopefully it doesn't take too much time... is just a fun thing that we are going to do and also we don't want to be selfish and waste your time sooo"

"Oh no, is fine... really, i have all the time in the world and besides... i like hanging out with you, sooo" i said and then smiled at them, they smiled back but Scarlet blushed a little. I told them that i would see them later and then went to my seat, i took my books out and class started.

History class was really simple and kinda boring - i was honestly looking forward to get out of that class and go to recess. When it finally came i ran out of the classroom because Quincy, Matthew, Caleb and i were going to play a little bit of tag like we were kids.

Before going to play with the boys i stumbled upon the cute girls on the hallway next to the stairs to the second floor, i waved at them but Scarlet looked at me funny - she was blushing but like she wanted to tell me something, it made me smile and i'm sure she noticed but i headed out to the field to play.

It was a ton of fun to play with the boys like we were kids, we played rough though so everytime someone tagged one of us they made sure to tag that person - that meant that we kicked each other, we made ourselves trip all of the time and Caleb even jumped at me and knocked me down to tag me, it was wild and dangerous but i loved it. At the end of recess we were all practically sweating so we went to the bathroom quickly before the next class started.

We returned to the classroom and went to our seats while giggling, it was really funny to hang out with them and we made tons of jokes every minute - it was hard to keep a straight face in class with them around but i tried to keep quiet when the teacher arrived.

We had a special general class where we discussed different topics with Miss Alyssa, she was our main teacher so she had to take care of us and take responsability for everything related to our class. It would be boring to talk about general topics with Miss Alyssa and the school probably knew about this so they made the class extra special - it was combined with a health class where Coach Emma was going to be like a nutritionist and since she also is the nurse it made sense that she was going to teach us abouth health.

They taught us about a few healthy habits and tips for school that were somewhat useful but i was a bit distracted by the teachers - they looked really good and i was forming a sort of crush for both of them. I was also forming a crush for Scarlet, we exchanged looks all throughout the class and when we had to do an activity in groups we were both considering doing it together but we couldn't because the girls took her for their group and the boys took me for their group.

So now i was doing the activity with the boys but i was constantly looking over to see Scarlet - she looked bored and uninterested in the activity like me but at the end we both finished the activity. At the end of the class, 10 minutes before the bell rang, i decided to go talk with Scarlet so i went to her seat, the other girls were talking with themselves but Scarlet was drawing something so i took my chance to say to her "Hello Scarlet, how are you?" She looked up to see me and smiled, i continued asking "What are you doing?" She looked at her drawing and then back at me before she replied "Oh, just a silly drawing... nothing interesting" she chuckled and i gave her a playful frown and then kneeled down so i could be at her level as she was sitting down and i was standing up - she giggled as i did and then i said "Well... i know this looks strange... buuuuut, do you want to hang out on recess?... like, just talk in a bench or walk around campus" she blushed and asked quietly so her friends wouldn't hear "Do you want to hang out with me on recess?" I eagerly nodded and she chuckled, then i chuckled and said "So do you want to?" She smiled and said "I mean... yeah, but the girls are going to find out"

I looked over her to see that May, Daisy and Ellie didn't notice i was next to Scarlet and then i said to her "Well what's the problem?... i just want to hang out with you... am i not allowed to do that?" She sighed and then said with a concerned tone "Is just that... i don't want them to feel like you are just talking to me... i know they want to hang out with you too so if they see me talking with you alone they are going to think something about us... make assumptions or i don't know" i rolled my eyes and then stood up, i went to Daisy and May and said to them straight in the face

"Hey, Scarlet and i are going to do something at recess, she needs to help me for the gaming club so hopefully you don't mind if i borrow her for a while" they laughed for a while and i looked at Scarlet to see that her face went fully red - i grinned at her, i was confident because i knew what i was doing I mean if they will think that Scarlet and i are doing something together then i should just tell them straight up, they will know since the beginning and they won't bother us in the future... great plan Dre... hey, thank you man, you are really smart too i said to myself and kept complementing myself in my head before May stopped laughing and then said with her jocking voice

"I know what you mean... we allow you to have her for all the time you want... she has been really lonely lately so i guess it would be good if you could make her a little bit of company" and then winked at me, i blushed really hard and i tried saying something but i knew i was going to make it worse - i just said bye to them and turned around to talk to Scarlet, i kneeled down and said to her "Hey, at least the worst is over... they allowed us to talk together so don't worry about them" Scarlet giggled and then said "Oh Dre, you really didn't need to do that but fine... i would love to hang out with you at recess" i smiled at her and then returned to my seat to wait for the bell to ring.
