Unfortunately, no. They're found guilty.

The lawsuit found its way to a federal court, where the trial lasted several weeks. Danielle had gotten a friend from high school who went on to become a lawyer to represent her, while Zoey and Vince had... some guy. Who clearly didn't care enough to help them.

Eventually, the jury came to a verdict: they found the defendants (Zoey and Vince) guilty of the charges.

Zoey felt a knot in her stomach. Her acting career had only just started and it looked like it might already be over. She nearly started crying before she heard the sentence.

Vince was sentenced to three years in prison and a $5 million fine, and, upon his release, would not be permitted to work in the film industry again, effectively killing his career.

When they got to Zoey's charges, she received a surprise. She would not serve jail time, and would only be given a $10,000 fine, something that she could pay off without many problems.

It was when she heard about what Danielle herself wanted from Zoey that sent a shiver down Zoey's spine...

EDIT: Just so you know, I don't have a super clear idea on how the American legal system works. This is just what I can tell from watching, 2 episodes of Judge Judy, so if I got anything wrong, I apologize, but that's the tea.
