Chapter 57 by Aroband Aroband

Where is Aiden going?

Police headquarters, time to immobilize the

Aiden pumped his powerful wings as he soared across the glittering city, enjoying the peace for what it was, the cars driving through the streets, people walking here and there. He figured he'd give the peace one last moment, given that it would be the last peaceful night this city ever got. Not that he gave a shit. He spotted his destination, the city's main police dispatch building, and dove down, alighting on the roof of the multi-storied building. He considered just walking in and infecting everyone he saw with his virus, but decided that a bit more tact might be nice. He stilled himself and listened closely, trying to see if he could find an exploitable weakness.

Within a half hour, he overheard two cops chatting in front of the station as they smoked. He lounged on the roof, idly playing with his sharp tail as he listened.

"-big boss is supposed to be in tomorrow morning," one said, Aiden not catching the first part of the sentence.

"Who is?" the other said, his voice much deeper than his compatriot's.

"Commander...what was it...Raskins, that's it. He's coming in from one of the large cities, something about the weird rumors going around. Restoring order or some such. I don't know, I think it's all bullshit anyways. Come on, we'd better head back," the one said, tossing his cigarette onto the pavement.

"Yeah yeah, real conscientious. Come on, let's get back," the deep voiced cop said, tossing his own cigarette. The two cops went back inside, leaving Aiden to mull their conversation over. An official from another city, here to deal with the problem Aiden himself was causing. Surely it'd be feasible for him to come into town a little early. The only problem would be if someone already knew what he was supposed to look like. A problem hopefully easily solved.

Aiden willed away his demonic attributes, the fearsome appendages melting back into his body as his skin took on a more normal color, giving him the illusion of being human again. Effortlessly landing in an alley, he used his pheromones to make people think he was clothed and walked into the police station.

"Can I help you?" a cute receptionist asked. Her bleach blonde hair complemented her light grey eyes wonderfully, and her body wasn't anything to scoff at, even through her uniform.

"Yes, I'm looking for Commander Raskins' information. I was supposed to be in charge of greeting him tomorrow, but I lost the papers and I can't remember what he looks like for the life of me," Aiden said, pretending to be embarrassed. The receptionist quickly smiled.

"Oh, of course! Let me print out a few things for you, I'm not sure if it's the same stuff you had, but it should do the job." Aiden smiled at her, relieved that she was so willing to help. He was worried he might have to fake some identification or pass some other check, but that didn't seem to be the case at all.

A minute later, the receptionist came back with a small stack of papers, including a picture. "This is everything I could find quickly, will that work?" she asked, looking up at him. Aiden pretended to look through the pages, sneaking glances at the woman instead. If his eyes didn't deceive him, she had refreshed her makeup while she had been gone. Sensing an easy opening, Aiden smiled brightly at her, which immediately brought a blush to her cheeks.

"This is perfect, thank you..."

"Vivian," the girl said, stretching her hand out for him to shake. Her hand was warm in his and the woman blushed again. "If you're not busy later, how about you give me a call? Here's my number," she said, handing Aiden a small slip of paper. He couldn't resist another smile.

"Sure, I think you'll be seeing me again soon. I'm Aiden," he said, Vivian's face lighting up.

"Great! I'll see you again soon Aiden," she said as he walked away, resisting the urge to take her right there. There'd be time for that later, if she still wanted him. Ducking back into the alleyway, Aiden looked over the papers he had gotten. Raskins seemed to be a rather straight cut man, short hair, six foot frame, wide shoulders, serious face with a scar on one cheek. He'd be easy to impersonate, at least for the small amount of time Aiden would need to stay hidden. Changing his features to match the picture, as well as his voice, Aiden once again walked into the police station, exuding confidence and a demand to be respected. He walked right back up to Vivian, who was tapping at something at her computer.

"Hello, can I help you?" she asked, not looking up. Aiden/Raskins cleared his throat.

"I'm Commander Raskins, from Division 8. I'm here about the strange rumors going around." Vivian looked up in surprise, immediately recognizing Aiden's face as the same one she had just printed off a picture of.

"Of course Commander!" she said, jumping to her feet. "I'll inform the chief. I thought you weren't supposed to be here until tomorrow," she asked, making a quick call to the chief's office.

"That was the plan, but my schedule freed up unexpectedly, so I decided to come early. Surely that's not a problem?"

"Not to me, sir. The chief should be down in a minute," Vivian said, sitting back down behind her desk.

Sure enough, a minute later a woman came down the stairs, clearly the chief of police. She wore a trim women's business suit, highlighting her small curves and minimizing her waist. Her nearly black hair was pulled up in a no-nonsense bun, her presence commanding the respect of her subordinates. Aiden could see why she was in the position she was today. He couldn't wait to turn her into a depraved slut.

"Commander Raskins, good to meet you, I'm Chief Amanda Provnoch. We weren't expecting you tonight."

"Apologies for the sudden arrival, but I'd like to deal with the problem here as quickly as possible," Aiden said, trying to match the authority of the woman in front of him.

"I agree completely. I'm eager to hear how you plan to stop these rumors. It's much easier to spread a lie than the truth, after all."

"Of course. The first thing I need is a general assembly of all the officers and staff here so that we can get everyone on the same page," Aiden said, setting his plan into motion. The chief was quick to comply.

"I'll have everyone assemble in the main briefing room, that should have a good amount of space," she said, leading the way down a hallway. "Unfortunately, we can't fit everyone."

"That's alright, just the majority should do. We don't want everyone to be too cramped," Aiden/Raskins said, walking into the large briefing room. He looked around and deemed it satisfactory. "How quickly can you have people assembled?"

"It shouldn't take long," Chief Provnoch said, checking her watch. "A shift change just happened, so some of the officers coming off duty are probably still showering. I'd say half an hour."

"Good, make it happen. I'll be here preparing," Aiden said. The chief of police quickly left the room and a minute later an announcement came through over speakers through the building for people to report to the briefing room. Aiden looked around again and set to work, knowing he was on a time limit.

What does Aiden do?
