Chapter 3 by Warden-Yarn15 Warden-Yarn15

Which aisle did Elizabeth find herself in?

Horror

Idly walking amongst the aisles I stumbled upon an alleyway of bookshelves with a sign hanging overhead with horror written above it. I've read Frankenstein before as well as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and a few penny dreadfuls that I come across every now and then. While some scare me and **** me to look behind my shoulders often, most are just for a read whenever boredom comes and visits me.

Inspecting the names of each book using their spines, I failed to notice that the alley slowly lost its wooden and ancient theme and instead, had chosen one that was Gothic, almost early Victorian with stygian spiked fences on top of stonewall pedestals with the floors that I stood on turning into cobblestones after... who knows exactly.

Feeling trapped, I sensed as if the library was telling me something, more specifically to use the services it was providing and it didn't want any window shoppers around its store. I wasn't one to anger the storekeeper or overstay my welcome and so I faced a shelf and grabbed a book by random.

What book did Elizabeth find?
