Worms 2 & 3 - Single room for twins, double the fun

It was almost 11pm. If Lola didn't get out of the bathroom soon, then she was going to be late, and she hated getting little sleep.

Rae sighed and flopped down on her bed, the cool night air drifting in through the cracked window. Despite being identical twins (or perhaps because of it), there were some very obvious differences to their personalities. While Lola was meticulous and thorough, Rae preferred speed and efficiency in life. Where Lola would take the time to master and perfect one thing before moving on to another, Rae would get it done as quickly as possible, doing a passable but expedient job on whatever she latched on to. The two children of Korean and Mexican parents, though nearly identical physically, could not be more different in the way they approached life.

But despite these contradictory traits, they managed to stay tight. Maybe it was the fact that sharing a room for nearly their whole lives had **** them to settle any differences they may come across. Actually yeah, that was exactly what it was. While their parents were great and loving, they weren't great with money. The family got by, but Rae's parents had never been able to afford much. And so, they had lived in the same house since she was born, sharing the same room with her twin sister.

Finally, the bathroom door opened.

"Christ Lola, were you rubbing one out in there or what?" Rae grumbled to her sister.

"Gross, no, I was brushing my teeth!"

"For six minutes?"

"Why are you counting, you weirdo? If you want to go to bed so bad, stop yapping at me and go get ready now. Loser..."

Rae made a mocking face at her twin sister as she walked into the recently-vacated bathroom. She used a hair tie to do up her long black hair before washing off her makeup, and then moved on to brush her teeth. Both Rae and Lola were pretty girls, exotic in a way that only such a mixed heritage can bring about. With Asian influences in their face and torso, and Latin-American roots showing in their hair and lower bodies, they were pretty, popular girls. Though they managed to stay relatively grounded. Rae pondered this occasionally, concluding that their twin bond helped keep them accountable in a way that even regular siblings couldn't imitate. They had stayed above most of the petty high-school crap, but their bond would be tested when they went to college next year.

Rae finished up and hopped into bed. Her sister was in one of her baggy night-shirts and a pair of panties, listening to music and scrolling through something on her phone. Rae flipped off the light and immediately turned over, facing away from her sister, who hadn't even looked up from her phone. She fell asleep quickly, determined to get through these last few days of high school so that the rest of her life could finally begin.
