Further Experimentation

For Luna, the world was made of fairy dust and unicorn farts. For a daydreamer at heart, discovering magic - real magic - was a life changing experience. She flipped through page after page after page, her head in the clouds. All the while, her focus burned like a hot iron.

Still, there was a gnawing worry growing within Luna as she read more and more spell descriptions. So many of the spells in the book were raunchy. They all seemed to pertain to sex in some way or another and while some were fairly tame (give yourself an orgasm on command) other were far stranger. Things involving demons and other dark forces.

The worries were weak however, overpowered by Luna’s fascination and enthusiasm. Now that the young woman had cast one spell successfully, she craved the experience.

Turning the page, Luna found a spell that stood out to her.

“Bind a lower being to your will,” Luna read out loud.

Luna’s mind immediately leaped to her worm farm. If there was anything that ever embodied “lower being”, it had to be an earth worm.

She walked over, pulled off the aluminum grating on top of the terrarium, dug her fingers into the moist earth, and plucked out a fat earth worm. The slimy creature writhed in her fingers, **** to return to its home of dirt and refuse.

Luna dropped the worm onto her desk and then grabbed the book, taking care to wipe her slime and dirt covered fingers on her jeans before touching the pages. On the cool wooden surface of the desk, the worm squirmed, twisting itself in curly-cues as it struggled outside of its element. For a moment, Luna felt bad for the creature.

“Don’t worry bud, this shouldn’t hurt.”

The moment passed and she readied the spell. She spoke softly but with purpose, enunciating each word in the incantation. All the while, she focused on the struggling worm.

The atmosphere in the room grew tense with pent up energy once more and this time, Luna could feel the temperature of the air around her drop. She reached the final word and felt the pop of diapering power.

On the desk, the worm ceased its motions immediately. It was so still that Luna thought she had killed the poor thing.

“Come on, move!” She said. She hated killing things, even bugs.

All of a sudden, the worm began to move towards her in a straight line. Its movements were direct and robotic, a far cry from the organic writhing and twisting motions of earlier.

“Now that’s something,” Luna said.

She placed her hand onto the surface of the desk and watched as the slimy organism worked its way onto her fingers.

“Coil around my index finger,” Luna said, lifting her hand from the desk.

The worm did as she commanded, encircling her finger with its body. It looked like a strange, fleshy ring in that position.

Next, Luna tried a command without speaking, using only her thoughts. She impelled the creature to wiggle only its head in small, steady circles. The worm followed through.

It was a strange feeling, having this small organism completely at her whim. Luna could almost feel a tether connecting her to the worm, as if it were an extension of her body rather than a separate organism.

Looking back to the book, Luna read over the additional information pertaining to the spell. The controlled organism was a “familiar”. According to the book, this familiar would be more physically resilient than its uncontrolled brethren, it’s body fueled in part by Luna’s own energy.

Because the worm was a lower being, the control was indefinite and could only be released by an anti-binding spell listed at the bottom of the page. The text indicated that any number of lower beings could be possessed, but that with each new being, the strain on the caster grew.

Luna couldn’t feel much strain from a single earth worm, but she wondered what her limit could be.

Regardless, she had another successful spell under her belt and a new pet to boot.

“I think I’ll name you Frank,” Luna said. “For now, Frank, go back to your home. I might need you later though, so keep an ear open for when I call! If you have ears.”

Luna dropped Frank into the terrarium and reapplied the cover.

She felt electrified. She was doing actual magic!
