Yes, but only just

"Aaron, you made it," you hear Haruka, as the airlock opens after pressurizing.

You fall straight forwards into Haruka's arms, your heart is beating fast; you're out of breath. The creature was right on your tail the whole way back, you managed to trick it again, only just before you made it back; however that would have only bought you a couple of minutes, as that is how long it takes to tear through solid steel.

"P... Pull away... fro..." you stammer out, pulling your helmet off; the ship seems sealed enough.

Rachel, who was next to her pushes off towards the cockpit.

"What was it?" you hear Yasmin ask?

"I.... don't... know," you say trying to catch your breath.

Looking behind you, you push yourself towards the airlock door. Looking through the window. You can feel the banging as the creature gets closer.

"We have to go now!" you yell.

"I'm pulling off," you hear Rachel yell back.

The creature's arm comes into view, right as the ship pulls away. Finally, feel safer as you put some distance of void between you and it. You turn around sighing in relief.

"Aaron where is your rifle?" Yasmin asks.

"It's right-" you are cut off as a massive explosion consumes the western half of the ship. All you all can see is a blinding blue light that comes through the window.

Looking back you see no trace of the creature, as the explosion sends debris ripping through its hull, tearing it to shreds. You feel pushed into the door as the ship accelerates from the blast. Suddenly the ship fragment explodes again, this time a bright red, must be the fusion reactor, the explosion must have reignited it, causing a chain reaction. Looking back now the fragment is gone, all that remains are many metal debris, many glowing red hot having been melted.

"-There," you finish, "well at least I know we got more of those," you laugh, in relief.

"What was that?" Haruka asks.

Everyone remains silent, turning you look at everyone; they are scared, well all the biological ones are. Eve is floating silently next to you.

"Whatever it was it's now dead," you say, hoping your right.

"Did you and Rachel finish?" you ask Haruka.

"Yeah," she says, holding up the memory core of The Apollo's computer, a glowing blue cylinder, she is holding it by the handle at the top.

"Great, we should be able to hook it into the colony's computer, see if they have any record o-"

"-Aaron, I think you should look at this," you hear Rachel yell.
