Yes, she should be useful

You float over to where you saw Eve last; finding her stuck floating in the middle of the vast room.

"I seem to have lost all forwards momentum," she says, hanging in the zero-g environment.

You know what she is talking about, stuck in the void; she has nowhere to push off of in the leaving her stranded floating. It happened to you once, when you where mining, a drill broke off flinging you backward. You were stuck floating there for hours before someone finally decided to help you. You miss those jerks.

"Hold still, I'm going to grab you," you line yourself up with the stuck android, pushing hard against the floor launching you upwards.

She took your order literally, and was frozen still; you fly closer towards her grabbing her by her narrow waist and floating gently up towards the roof.

"You can move now," you laugh.

"Thank you, Master," she says.

"Uh, yeah no problem," you reply.

Some boxes go flying across your vision, looking from where they came you can see a black creature; it seems to be a mass of tentacle-like structures, maybe 24 in total. Each one covered in a thin clear substance that occasionally glows blue, a central core is a solid white structure resembling a sphere. Poking out from the middle of the tentacles it a massive bone-white maw, each side of the beak-like structure serrated for cutting into flesh.

"What the fuck," you gasp shocked.

You are slowly floating towards the ceiling; however, the creature is gaining fast, deftly using its appendages to pull its self towards you. You point your rifle at it, pulling the trigger at the strange life-form. The blue bolt quickly flying towards it, and sending you and Eve backward. However, the energetic mass suddenly veers right before hitting the creature, landing uselessly against the wall.

"What the hell?" you are stunned.

"Aaron, are you all right?" You hear over the comms, it is your sister.

"NO, I'm not," you say, reaching the ceiling.

"Eve, push us towards the door!" you order, "as fast as you can."

The creature is getting close, there won't be much time; hopefully, your plan works. With the order, the android launches you two, correctly towards the door you came in from. Just seconds away from getting bit by the creatures razor-sharp fangs.

"OK, this has to work," for a second doubt presses through your mind.

Sliding through the open door you shoot the control panel, the thing shortly resurrects back to life; shutting the door quickly. It slices its way into a tentacle that was close to you severing it; sending blue blood flying across your visor. The appendage still wriggling in the vacuum, it seems to take on a life of its own. Aiming at the tentacle, you pull the trigger, this time it connects, tearing the tissue into fragments. You grab a metal canteen, you caught it from storage; moving quickly you store a bit into the container.

"Aaron, are you OK?" you hear, "please respond," it is your sister.

"Yeah, I'm fine for now," you respond.

"We have to move, follow me," you say to Eve, pushing off along the corridor.
