You are on an island close to Westeros, here sits a fortress of warped black stone with towers shaped like dragons sitting near an active volcano. This is Dragonstone, the seat of the last remaining dragon lords of old Valyria, House Targaryen. Standing on the balcony of the main bedchamber is you. The lord of Dragonstone, Aegon Targaryen.

You and your sisters, Visenya and Rhaenys, are the last of the Valyrian dragon lords. Long ago dragon lords of Valyria ruled half the known world in Essos with a combination of powerful magic and mighty dragons that could turn armies to ash and smoke. But due to unknown causes, the land of Valyria was utterly destroyed in a fiery doom killing every living thing and cracking the entire continent into pieces. All that’s left is a cursed land where no one dares tread and those who do never return.

One of your ancestors foresaw the doom in a dream so your family fled Valyria to Dragonstone with their dragons and have lived here since than. Your family has lived an isolated existence. Taxing ships that pass by the island going in and out of Westeros and getting involved in Essos politics. But now you have become lord of Dragonstone and you’ve quickly grown tired of the affairs of the eastern lands. You seek a more ambitious purpose to fill your attention and if it’s not in the east...
