Jessica agrees to lead a new chapter

Jessica is anxious. She is loathe to spread this...gift...to another city, but recognizes the advantages of putting some distance between Elizabeth and herself and Jenna.

Jessica nods. "Yes"

Elizabeth flashes a wide grin. "I knew I chose wisely when I turned you two."

Jenna is smiling. "So we'd get to run our own city? That's so cool!" She says.

"I have some ground rules, ladies. I need to approve anyone that you want to share our gift with. No men in the mansion. No men are to be given the gift under any circumstances. You need to ensure that you keep a low profile, and enthrall the city leaders and law enforcement that could cause trouble for us. The last rule: have fun." Elizabeth lists.

That last one was kind of corny Jessica thinks to herself.

"And yes, ladies, I'll have ways of knowing if you are being good." Elizabeth winks.

"We have already procured a mansion for you outside your new city. Our workers have already removed all of the windows but you'll need to remodel the the basement" Elizabeth says darkly. Jessica shudders. "I'll get you started with some human thralls to take with you. You leave tomorrow night. You should enjoy your last night here."

Over the course of the next few hours, Jessica, Jenna and Elizabeth revel in a feeding frenzy. During interludes, Elizabeth gives them a crash course in vampirism. How to heal human wounds with saliva. How to enthrall humans into slaves. How to turn humans. What to guard against: sunlight, being the main enemy. Strategies for corrupting human leaders and staying hidden.

It is a lot for Jessica to absorb, but she is ready.
