Wham!

The blow hit Rita above the right temple and hard. The **** sent stars into the monstrous girl's vision, despite her enhanced frame. Then, another blow stuck Rita, this one right on top of the head. Another quickly followed, right across Rita's chest, painfully smacking her breasts.

Whatever was hitting her was made of wood. The material seemed to give a little with each blow, as if there were springs buffering the ****. It still hurt like hell.

Rita turned on a dime, regarding her assailant with the eyes of an angry wolf. In that moment, Rita had enough time to see a short girl with elfen features and neck-length, rainbow colored hair glaring at her. Then a swift kick to the head sent Rita sprawling several feet off in the distance.

The infernal mutant lay in the grass, her eyes fixed on the stars. She seemed ****.

Do you know that anxious feeling you get in your stomach sometimes? It comes out of nowhere, seemingly for no reason? Usually it goes away, but ever so often it just keeps itching at you until you have act on it.

El was having one of those moments as she sat playing Minecraft on her laptop, waiting for Yuki to return from class. It started in her gut and slowly rose like bile.

She tried to ignore the feeling, but it just wouldn't go away. It was as if a big sign in neon red letters blared "something's wrong!" on the inside of El's skull.

El checked the time. Her phone said it was 8:03 PM. Yuki's class let out at 8:00. Nothing unusual yet.

Still, that nasty feeling remained: "Something's Wrong!"

You're being crazy, El told herself. You really like her (as a friend) and you're panicking. That's it.

8:05 rolled around and the feeling was only getting worse. It wasn't a long walk back, but it did take a little while. Still totally normal.

Then 8:07 rolled around.

"Something's wrong."

8:08.

"Something's wrong."

8:10.

"SOMETHING IS FUCKING WRONG!!!"

"Fine," El shouted to herself. She glanced at herself in the mirror, still caught off guard by the dye job. She loved it, but it was a lot.

She was a skinny girl, even more so than yuki. Unlike Yuki, El had a nice amount of hard, wirey muscle below the surface from years of Kendo. She was small, but she could take someone.

"Speaking of Kendo," El said, grabbing her shinai. Better safe than sorry.

El didn't bother putting on a jacket or proper clothes. Her dingy athletic shorts and Spiderman T-shirt would do. Besides, her adrenaline was pumping too hard to be cold.

She set off on the path Yuki was most likely to take, reverse engineering it from a past time when she had followed her roommate back. Not a soul shared this part of campus.

Around every corner, El felt a foreboding presence. Shadows seemed to flicker in the darkness, lying in wait for the right opportunity to pounce. Since when had it ever felt so sinister on campus?

El felt a little better now that she was acting on her intuition, but her temples still throbbed uncomfortably.

She created the hill that overlooked the History building and that's when she saw Yuki.

She was pinned down on the ground by some freakish looking woman. Between the woman's legs glistened...a penis? That couldn't be right. Whatever it was, it was lodged between her best friend's lips. Steams of black fluid leaked from the edges of Yuki's mouth.

The woman then yanked her...was it really a penis? It sure looked like one. She yanked it out of Yuki and then the bitch laughed. That's when El saw nothing but red.

El descended on the **** freak with her shindig raised in an attack stance. She hit the woman once, twice, three times. El wanted to do damage, to make the woman pay for what she was doing to poor Yuki.

Unfortunately, a shinai is designed to minimize damage, not maximize it. The blows struck, but the design of the weapon diffused the **** enough to only daze the woman.

When the bitch fixed El with her hellish glare, she acted only fear alone. Those eyes weren't human. They burned with hatred, and below that, awful hunger.

That's when El kicked the woman with all her might. She may have taken karate for ten years as well. Thankfully, the woman tumbled off to the side, seemingly ****.

El turned to Yuki, bending over and checking her pulse. The girl's eyes were glazed over and her hips bucked in a strange rhythm. Yuki seemed unaware of El's presence at first.

"Hey girly," El said sharply, trying to stifle her horror and worry. "Come on. Snap out of it."

With concerted effort, Yuki broke out of her bizarre fugue long enough to stare lazily at El.

"L-lll-El?"

"Yuki, it's okay. It's all going to be okay."

"Www-wha happened?" The girl slurred. She sounded drunk. What did that freak put in her.

"You got jumped. It's okay though. It's all okay. Remember? I've got your back!"

Suddenly, Yuki's eyes widened. The clouds parted in a moment of utter clarity.

"El, behind you!"

It was too late. Strong hands dug into El's side and threw her several feet. The girl landed on her back in the brick pathway, pain exploding up her spine.

Above her, the woman stood with equal parts hate and lust.
