Bring Jess into frozen time.

"Well, have you tried, I don't know like focusing energy through the ring?"

"Not really. What do you mean by focusing?" Richard asked.

"Like focus the energy from the ring towards me when you freeze time", Jess suggested.

Richard thought about it, he didn't have anything to really lose. At worst, it wouldn't work. At most, he got bring his love on adventures of their choosing.

"I mean, I can give a shot. I've never really thought about it", Richard said, starting to walk over to Jess. "I'm not sure what will happen, it could hurt."

"Has it hurt you?"

"Not physically, but when I travel back in time, let's just say that I don't want to try that again unless I absolutely need to..."

"Well, if you think it's relatively okay, let's give it a shot. The benefits sure out way the risks if it works"

Agreeing with Jess, Richard decided to give it a shot. Reaching down towards the ring, he touched it sending the energy out into the world. Once all the sounds had stopped and Jess was once again frozen. His instincts guided him, raising the ring, he closed his eyes and pictured Jess in his mind as she was, sending out a green ray of energy towards her.

Just like how he had pictured in his head, energy shot out of the ring towards Jess. It enveloped her like a shield, slowly expanding from her body until it was just about an inch above her skin. Slowly, like coming awake, Jess started to move.

"Did it work?" Jess asked, looking up at Richard who, she realized, was covered in a green glow.

"I would say it worked perfectly! Welcome to my realm, the realm between time", Richard said, a large smile on his face.

"What do we do now?"
