There was another long paused before Veronica answered. "It's January."

"Okay, so I'm not used to how time passes for humans, but it's close enough!"

"Do you want to escape this place or not?"

Veronica's blue eyes brightened. "Escape?"

The orb narrowed his eyes and curled his lip. Two floating hands popped into existence beside him. They clapped twice. Veronica jumped as she felt her body change. There was another long paused.

That orb can literally pop anything into existence. If she didn't play his game, he would probably throw her to into a pit of lava or something. Veronica took a deep breath and walked to the door.

When the cheerleader emerged into the gym, she found that it was not very different. It was dark, and vines hung from the ceiling. The floor was covered in leaves, and there were bubbling cauldrons everywhere. Veronica paused a blinked a few times. It actually looked kind of cheap. There was a pop in front of her.

"Welcome to the haunted gym!" the orb announced.

"Are those cauldrons plastic?" Veronica asked. She was ignored.

"You have two choices!" The orb pointed with a floating hand, left and right. "You can go to the left and enter the witch's forest! You could go to the right and enter the spooky kitchen!"

"What the hell is a spooky kitchen?" she asked.

"Pick the door on the right and find out! Make your decision!" the orb popped back out of existence. Veronica sighed and rubbed her head. She couldn't believe this. First the locker room and now this. Well, she had to come to a decision, whether she liked it or not.
