* Which Game Or Series Do You Wish To Play? *

*The Sims*

You click the option for The Sims, and a list appears.

1: The Sims: The Original game that started it all, the Sims takes you to a personal management level for an entire family. You control almost every aspect of their lives from when they wake up to when they go to bed and everything in between. There's never enough money in your sims accounts at the beginning, but with hard work, you can rise to dominance and become a famous rock star or other celebrity. The game had numerous expansions and add-ons but if you chose this option you can pick and chose which you will include in your game.

1.5: Sims Midevil: Altering the base architecture of The Sims to create a medieval fantasy RPG game this game was not nearly as expansive and interactive as its forebear, but was, in its own way a worthy addition to the Sims line. It had a couple of expansions, (This author knows of only one, but supposedly there were more,) and was moderately praised by critics and fans, but not received with incredible enthusiasm by either group, though of course some individual people may have liked it much more than the broader world.

2: The Sims 2: And thus we get The Sims 2. A return to the roots of the game with a number of upgrades such as characters going through various life stages from a baby, to a child, becoming parents themselves, growing old, and eventual **** this game stayed much closer to real life than the Sims 1 did, at least at first. However, with expansion packs, the magic and monsters crept back in and the game regained more of the cartoony elements that many had so much fun with in "The Sims".

3: The Sims 3: Eventually, The Sims 2 had run its course: computing power and customization levels had moved on and sales had dropped off, so, predictably, Maxis took the next step. The Sims 3 had a lot more customization, from the length of time individual sims would live for, too much more intricate personal styling. Sims now had 'wishes' that determined their overall lifetime achievements, which could be used to purchase benefits for the next generation. The game again started out fairly realistic and became more cartoonish as time went on...

4: The Sims 4: And once again the cycle repeats: released for the PC in 2014 and for consoles in 2017, The Sims 4 Is the current incarnation of the concept. Criticized for a lack of content on release the game has been massively expanded since with DLC packs, free updates, and in-store expansion packs of various kinds, from pets and vermin to Vampires. There also are tons of unofficial mods and hacks that add such things as 'adult' content and additional magically oriented elements such as werewolves and zombies.

* Which option do you choose? *
