Chapter 5 by ErisAphrodite ErisAphrodite

Which path did Orus take?

Left.

Orus was of no mind to go higher up, where it was surely even colder, and so he continued on through the little valley, making his way down the sparse path around the foot of the cliffs.

Not far along the trees crowded in, and the land opened up between the stony hills. Eventually he found his way to a clearing that was filled with fog. The path became less of a clear road and more of a general lack of interrupting foliage. It wasn't long before he realized the fog was much more humid than he when he first entered, and he came upon a modest pool of steaming water.

Orus noticed the temperature of the air was much more pleasant than the chill of the walk up, if a little damp. He approached the hot spring both warily and wearily, feeling as though a break would be beneficial to his tired body.

He saw no signs of recent passage by anything or anyone, and thought if someone did come here, they were long gone by now. No doubt he should look elsewhere, however the warmth of the water appeared very inviting. He supposed it couldn't hurt to rest a while...

Did Orus rest in the hot spring?
