Talk to Natali about Melanie

You and Natali lay on the bathroom floor snuggling and recuperating. Thankfully the bathroom rug was thick and plush. You share a laugh, smooch, and whisper pillow talk to each other. While it had only been a couple of days since you'd been picked up your relationship with Natali was growing and deepening rapidly. The L word began floating around in your mind and it scared the hell out of you. The way she spoke with you just now, the way she touched you and looked at you, you suspected the feeling was mutual.

Eventually the two of you get up and share a shower. The shower is a big walk-in affair at the back of the bathroom. You lather down her silky smooth body and help her rinse it off. She does the same for you. You are tempted to go another round, but that last one really took it out of you. She laughs and mock complains about having to get made up all over again. She tosses the remains of the shirt in the trash, it had surely cost a few hundred bucks at least.

Eventually the conversation comes around to Melanie.

Watching Natali put on her earrings you say. "I don't know what to do. I can't keep fooling her forever. And I can't just retire from being her Dad like I can with the business." You shake your head unsure of what to do.

Natali looks at you in the mirror for a while before speaking. "Melanie and Vincent were close, no doubt, but Vincent didn't do close very well. She idolized him but he never really spoke to her or got to know her very well. He just liked having her around. She was the one thing that wasn't rotten in his miserable life and he thought that made him a good man." Natali turns to look at you. "Listen. She might surprise you. She is her father's daughter after all and she might just take a good deal if it is offered to her. But you have to tread lightly."

Nodding your head you say. "Yeah. I think denial will buy me some time with her. I guess we've got bigger fish to fry right now."

Natali reaches out, resting her hand on your neck. She looks you in the eye with those gorgeous brown eyes. "Whatever you have to do to deal with Melanie just know that you have my full support. Whatever you have to do. You don't even have to tell me about it."

You could see she was completely earnest and deadly serious. You weren't quite sure how to react to that statement.

She leans in and gives you a little peck on the cheek. "Now I'm going to get some breakfast, I am famished!"

She exits the room, leaving you with your thoughts.
