As you drive, you go over the story you're going to present about the two of you. You've been dating for a couple of months, but he's been **** to talk about it since you're pretty young. You arrive at the party without incidence, and your father, acting like a gentleman, opens your door, putting his arm around your waist as he leads you to the party. Your entrance causes quite a stir amongst his colleagues, but you're not sure if that's because of you or because of him evidently having caught such a beautiful young thing as you. You certainly notice hungry looks from several of the men, and envious looks from some of the women.

Hanging off your dads arm as you mingle with his colleagues, downing several glasses of champagne, brings up an odd mix of emotions. Once in a while, he seemed to momentarily forget that the girl by his side was really his son, in how his hand moved ever so slightly down from your waist, in the way he sometimes touched you, and certainly by his gaze. There was something about the way he took control, allowing you to just be led around, that felt good. Almost exciting, even.
