Chapter 4 by Anonymous51 Anonymous51

Who finds the rock and who uses it?

The Grayson Family

"Jeremy, could you get the door?" his mother called out from the kitchen.

18-year old Jeremy Grayson sighed, then reluctantly stood up from the family room couch and headed to the front door. It's not like he was doing anything important, just watching TV. But he was just kind of a lazy person.

He opened the front door, then looked out onto the mostly quiet neighborhood, which was on the east side of Ridgefield, a suburb he rarely left (as mentioned before, he was kind of lazy). No one was on the porch, but ... just outside the door was a small box. Shrugging, he picked up the box and brought it inside.

The moment he closed the door behind him, his mom called out from the kitchen, asking "So who was at the door?"

"I don't know. But they left a box." He shook it and heard something rattling around inside it. "There's no mailing address on it. I don't know who it's from," he said, walking into the kitchen.

"Just put it on the kitchen table," his mother (Elizabeth) said. "I'll get to it later."

What next?
