Jeremy Opens the Box and Uses the Rock

Maybe a little more curious than usual, Jeremy decided to open the box himself. He went upstairs to his bedroom, closed the door, then opened the box. Inside, he found the rock and the note that was with it.

This had to be a joke, right? A magic wishing rock? That was crazy, right?

Part of him thought it was a ridiculous prank, but another part of him had to wonder. What if it was for real? He looked down at the rock, which he had already taken out of the box. All he needed to say was "I wish", followed by what he wanted, and it would come true ... according to the note.

He took a deep breath, silently hoping that it would work, then said "I wish ..."
