5 minutes in

Not long into your reading you notice Carl rip pieces of paper from his notebook and begin to roll them into small balls, he notices you but only smirks as he continues. You continue to watch as he then begins to throw the pieces across the classroom targeting heads before returning to the textbook and acting as if nothing has happened. "Who did that?" a voice from across the classrooms speaks, "Oh have you finished?" Ms Williams asks but before they can reply she tells them to shut up and continue reading. Carl looks as if he's going to burst as he tries to hold his laughter in, he then targets Katie hitting the back of her head, she looks around knowing who the culprit is and flicks her middle finger towards him.

You look around the classroom to see if anyone else is noticing Carl's antics before you meet eyes with Zoe who even though she's staring at you hasn't noticed you looking back. Her deep blue eyes flicker as the sun shines towards them, you smile softly awakening her from her daze, she blushes before quickly returning to the textbook. "Check this" Carl says before throwing a paper ball towards the front of the class just as Ms Williams looks up from her book and tells the class to put their books down. The ball misses his targets head and lands on Ms Williams desk. The class then looks around to see who did it however Ms Williams knows this already, turning to Carl you watch as he lets his head fall into his hand and shakes, he truly does look heartbroken.

Standing up Ms Williams stares intently at him, "Carl. Are you trying to injure me? You are aware that you could be expelled for this, correct?" she says condescendingly, "Yes, Ms Williams" he replies, that smirk he once had has turned into a nervous frown. "Good, i'll see you after class then. Come and get this and put it into the bin for me" she asks, she seems rather calm compared to how you thought she would react. Standing up from his chair he walks towards the front of the classroom whilst some members of the class begin to giggle at him, before he throws the paper in the bin. "Oh and since your up here your going to be my partner for this exercise. Its a shame I had a fun exercise for us all to do but i'm going to make sure you work" Ms Williams says now standing up. Carl lets out a sigh as he looks above the class trying to remain cool. "Now then on your desks their should be a piece of paper with groups of names on them. This is who your going to be working with for today, go and find them a bring ur chairs". You look down and see you've been grouped with Alison, Katie, and Adam the greasy haired guy you sat next to during the assembly earlier.

"They can come over here" Katie says "ya know since the two of us are here already", you agree with her trying to side with your classmate. Getting the point Adam comes over first, then Alison is next sighing as she sits next to you, "I'm not doing all the work again, we can do this as a group." Alison says looking at Katie, "Whatever you say, Ali" Katie replies. Ms Williams tells the class to read the sheet and start the exercise, its a simple read and answer exercise. A few minutes in after you and Adam try to contribute to the work you notice Katie staring out the window seemingly not paying any attention, Alison is cracking down on the work although her face has gone bright red, you ask if she's okay and she tells you not to worry, out of the corner of your eye you notice Katie smirk. Soon after you notice Alison start to fidget and breathe heavily, this is when you notice a brown brogue between Alison's skirt moving slowly.
