Time to get aegis and leave this village

You hurry to the stables where you left Aegis. Last night you weren’t able to return and make your payment. The stable master had warned you’d have to pay two copper , so you feared you’d find him outside. But when you arrived there, you found him safe and dry inside the stables. So too is stable master Harbin.

“Good morning, ma’am. It seems you found shelter this last night.” Harbin greets you.

You smile and reply “Yes, old man Murt was kind enough to let me stay over.”

Harbin raised his eyebrows and said “Did he now? I was wondering why you didn’t return last night. Figured there might have been a reason so I kept your horse inside.”
Harbin’s smile then fades and is replaced with strictness.
“However I now can’t give him back to you unless you make your payment.”
He reaches out his hand and awaits you to put some money into it.

You reach into your pocket and collect two copper coins you stole from Murt’s body.
“Here you go good, sir.” You say as you place the coins in Harbin’s open palm.
“A pleasure doing business with you.” Harbin says as his smile quickly returns.

You gather Aegis and make for the exit. Just before you leave, you turn back to Harbin and ask “Do you perhaps know where I can get a cart or something like that?”
Harbin blinks, perplexed at your question.
“A cart? What would you need that for? Are you transporting something?
Harbin is right, you have everything you need on you, why would you need a cart?
“I just … Murt said he had need of one. I figured I’d get him one for the trouble I caused him.”
Harbin scratches his head and thinks for a moment.
“Well, there’s a merchant who regularly visits and brings supplies for this inn. I believe he’s around these days, you should ask Thomas.” Harbin tells you as he point in the inn’s direction.
He then looks to the south and says “There’s also Joe, he’s an old farmer who lives a bit further south. Other than that, I’m afraid I don’t know anyone who has a cart.”
“Thank you very much, Harbin. You’ve been a great help.” You say, and exit the stables.

That was … very weird of you to do. You are fully aware you have no need of a cart, yet you felt compelled to get one. You even lied about Murt to have an excuse. Maybe it is you female intuition. Or perhaps the Burning Rose guiding your actions.
