Chapter 3
by
Berut
Who owns the book ?
Falthène, the Drowned Fairy
The Great Tomb of Nazarick was filled to the brim with npc crafted with care and dilligence, all belonging to one of nine levels of the tomb, the tenth being strictly reserved for their creators, the 41 supreme beings, with varying theme to them.
The fourth floor was called the underground lac, this was the floor of Falthène, a member of both the fairy specie and the drowned. The supreme being having created him was particulary fascinated with the concept of corrupted creature of good, being it by **** or dark forces. Multiple npcs were created in accordance to that fascination, Sacrifice, the floor guardian of the eight level, being one of them.
Therefore, Falthène was described as follow : "There is beauty in effort, yet no matter how much he tried, that beautifull fairy could not escape the depths of the lac, holding him deep within a nest deprived of oxygene. He swimmed, squirmed, begged, and finally gave up. His long red hairs flotted underneath the surface of the lake, turning it red as if blood started to dye it. Now a drowned, his beauty took a pale note, as if looking at the most gracefull corpse there was, such sight filled you with awe and sadness that such a pretty being faced a funest destiny far from his home.". At least physically that was his description.
He wasn't specifically strong, not at all even, but in his frail and delicate hands, was an object that he shouldn't have. A world item, a book and a pen. He had it since he was created, but as today was the first day he had become more than an npc, he finally took it out of his inventory and considered trying it. Even though it was in there since his creation, this wasn't a gift from the supreme being that created him, it was simply pure luck that this item ended up there, and so, he didn't now what it did.
If this book, called the reality book, could change reality, then he should use it to serve Nazarick and lord Momonga, the arbiter of the supreme beings and the last one that remained. He pondered, before writting something. To help Nazarick, he should be strong, as strong as a floor guardian. Testing the effect of this book on himself would guarantee there is no problem if it ends up having bad after effects, he couldn't dare risk the safety of lord Momonga acfter all. So he wrote :
[Falthène is a floor guardian as strong as the strongest of them.]
