Will she still be Wanda?
A day together
Dawn was looking through a book Aezeth had given her. It was filled with spells, fueling her witchcraft-filled blood and keeping her interested as she wanted to learn about her power. Leon's powers had impressed her which only inspired her to explore her own.
As the door opened, Aezeth came walking in. Dawn turned to her and saw that her eyes were red and puffy as if she had been crying. She said nothing and just turned, waiting for her to speak.
"Dawn, we have to perform a ceremony. It should be in your book, and I need you to do it."
"Of course. What is it?"
"Wanda and I are going to become one."
"Oh," Dawn said, rather surprised by this. "Does Leon know?"
"Yes, he is aware. We had a discussion about it this morning."
"Is he..... okay with it?"
Wanda stood there looking at the bookshelf without answering her. Dawn took that as an answer all on its own before she stood up.
"Wanda, are you sure about this?"
"I am Aezeth reincarnated. I will still be me, or at least, mostly me," Wanda said with a half smile. "It will happen tomorrow morning. Please make the preparations."
"I will, but......"
"I will be spending the day with Leon. I hope you don't mind."
"Of course not. Take all the time you need with him. But Wanda and Aezeth," she said, getting both of their attention. "Leon needs you. I hope this works."
Wanda gave her a smile and a quick hug before she left the room shutting the door behind her. Dawn stood there staring back at her book trying to find the page with the spell in it. It didn't take long as she began reading it to herself.
"I hope this works," she said before she started writing notes in preparation.
She stopped for a moment when she noticed a tear hit her notebook. All she could think about was Leon. Even though she would be there for him in every way he needed her to be, he knew that Wanda was the closest thing he had to a mother figure in his life. That was not something she could replace in his life.
If Wanda truly was the reincarnation of Aezeth, then it would be more of a balance and could still be what Leon needed in his life, but deep down, Dawn knew that Aezeth was capable of deception and even evil. Despite now being one of her followers, her loyalty to Leon was stronger.
A few hours later.
"Okay, is this where you're gonna hide my body?" Leon said with a chuckle as they got out of the car in front of an old boardwalk that looked very rundown. "Wait, I remember this place." He said as he looked around. "This was......"
"This was where you're dad's old farm stand was," Wanda said as she walked up next to him. "Right there between the hardware store and the arcade. This was where we met."

"You never told me this story," he said as he looked at the old stand that was falling apart.
"I was in my last year of college, broke, and looking for a cheap meal. A farmstead seemed like it could be a good choice," she said with a slight smile. "You're father was on the phone with his lawyer, arguing because your Mom....."
"She was trying to get custody of me. The only time she tried," Leon said with a grim look on his face.
"He turned and bumped into me, knocking my bag out of my hand before he quickly apologized, hung up the phone, and helped me pick everything up."
Wanda put her head down, trying to fight back tears as she remembered Charles and the kind man that he was. Leon stood there next to her, not sure what to say or what to do.
"I miss him," Leon said breaking the silence.
"I miss him too. Everything had been so much harder since he......"
"I'm sorry."
"It wasn't your fault, and I have no regrets. Honestly, you and Charles were the best thing to ever happen to me. You remind me so much of him. Your kindness, your...... handsomeness," she said with a chuckle, blushing a little. "Now that you are an adult, I see him more and more in you every day."
"That must be tough," he said almost feeling bad about it.
"After tomorrow, I want to keep remembering these things, telling you stories about him. I know it will all work out, but I'm still......" She paused for a moment as Leon took her hand.
"I know it will be okay," he said lying to himself a bit. "Like you said, you are already here in a way, so....... it will all work out."
"I hope so."
"Well, I can't imagine a world without you in it, so it has to work," he said, squeezing her hand a little harder.
"The worst part is, as much as I miss him, all I can think about right now is......" She paused as she slid her hand out of Leon's and stepped back. "How much I want to fuck you."
Leon looked at her, shocked for a moment, before he tightened his face. "I'm ashamed to say it, but yeah. Ever since the other night when we........ I've been thinking about it too."
"This is such a fucked up situation we've found ourselves in," she said before the both started laughing out loud.
They stood there on the sidewalk of this abandoned boardwalk, unable to hide how ridiculous their lives had become ever since Aezeth showed up. There weren't many people around except one woman walking her dog who just gave them an odd look as she went by.
Wanda took a moment to calm down, wiping tears from her eyes caused by the laughter before she took his hand again. "Come on, let's get some lunch."
