The Reality Die

The reality die is as it sounds, a 20 sided die with the ability to reshape the world. Those who use it can ask anything of the die but whether they get what they wanted or something else depends completely on how well they roll. 20's are perfection, as if a genie had granted a wish but with perfect understanding of all implications that the user could want. 1's are the opposite (mostly), instead of the user's perfect desires being fulfilled, the desires of the die are fulfilled. Sure, the intent of the asked for change is taken into account but the die has a tendency to twist things into the perverse when it gets its way. So a request for "perfect health" might change instead to "Really healthy but that's because I have so much raw sex with the neighbor's son".

Importantly when desires are "reversed" the originally intended change is taken into account when determining how drastic its counterpart's effect is. Such as someone saying "I have a sandwich in my hand" having far less of a consequence verses "I have the power to bend reality myself". Pretty much the statement sets the level of power that is going to be used and if the die gets that level of power it will use it to full effect.

By default only the roller is aware of things changing as reality actually rewrites to match their wishes. However sometimes when the roll is poor enough and the die gets free-reign to adjust things it will mess with this, either making the user unaware of their new reality or making others around them aware (as it sees most fitting).

The die is made of a black marble-ish substance and by default has lightning-like arching green shocks running across its surface. Sometimes it appears with other colors, with additional effects when it does.
