"You see, kitsunes are usually working under governments to find and regulate new Gifted appearances, and since we are pretty much made of magic, we developped our own ways to communicate, separate from any technology you can see. See it as a sort of thoughts transfer. Anyway, with this, one kitsune shared with us one day that a lot of Gifted died at least once. Upon further investigation, we found out that about sixty percent of Gifted got their gift through ****."

She stopped for a split second, looking at you with a dangerous gleam in her eyes before shaking her head and continuing. "The second way is through blood, or passing down your blood to be precise. A Gifted forming a family will almost all the time have Gifted children as well, with either a variant of the original gift, or the original gift without any change whatsoever. Finally, the third type is also the most powerful for... Reasons. They are also born Gifted, but with a twist : they have no gift in their family, and this is very unlikely to happen. The only living Gifted in that condition to my knowledge is the very ruler of our country."

You sat down, and took an uncomfortably long time to realise what you did. You opened your mouth to let out a victorious line, but Aji's shrug calmed you down.
