You see a mock courthouse

You arrive at a sort of mock courthouse: judge booth, witness stand, and opposing sides. Scant few chairs sit in the proverbial back of the courthouse; you suspect that audiences aren't common in this courthouse. You see, sitting in the judge booth, with a marvelous tapestry beneath, covering the front of the judge booth. The image displayed appears to be one of the cosmos, and the woman appears to be actively weaving it, pulling thread from a mysterious source and weaving it into the tapestry. "Ah, very good; you've arrived. Seems you're the subject and witness of today's trial, so why do you take a seat at the witness stand." Seems it wasn't a request; you comply. You wonder who the trial is between, only to look over at the defense's seat. Seems there's a privacy screen up around the defense's chair. Huh, odd. The judge sees you and states, "Ah, Laird Loki didn't want to be seen until the trial, something about the whims of time and their gender or something." Huh. Suppose you'll have to wait for the prosecution to arrive, then.

Author's note: due to Loki's genderfluidity, they will not necessarily appear universally as male or female through the various trials. Due to this, I'm not going to pin Loki down to one of their main two forms in this chapter, unless they happen to all be male on the defense.
