Brandi and Kyle arrived at the Jiu-Jitsu dojo early in the morning, eager to begin their training session. The air was thick with the scent of sweat and determination, as fellow students practiced their moves. Kyle, a black belt, had agreed to help Brandi prepare for her upcoming green belt test. He was confident in her abilities, but they both knew that there was still work to be done. As they warmed up, Kyle pushed Brandi to her limits, making her practice her throws, escapes, and submissions.

Brandi, determined to succeed, gave it her all, her muscles burning with each movement. "You're doing great, Brandi," Kyle praised her, wiping the sweat from his brow. "But you need to focus more on your ground game. That's where you'll really need to shine during the test." Brandi nodded, grateful for his guidance. She had been avoiding Regina, her former training partner, ever since their sparring session went wrong, leaving Brandi with two missing teeth.

But Kyle's words reminded her that Regina had indeed trained her well. "Don't let any personal issues get in the way of your training," Kyle advised. "Focus on what you need to do to pass the test, and the rest will fall into place." Brandi took a deep breath, refocusing her energy. She and Kyle continued to train, pushing each other to new heights.

As the session came to an end, Brandi felt a sense of accomplishment, knowing that she had made progress. "You're going to do great, Brandi," Kyle reassured her. "Just trust in your training and your abilities." Brandi smiled, grateful for his support. As they left the dojo, she felt more determined than ever to succeed in her upcoming test, no matter what obstacles she may have faced along the way.

The next day, as Brandi arrived at the dojo for her green belt test, she noticed Regina approaching her. Her heart raced, unsure of what to expect. "Brandi, I need to talk to you," Regina said, her voice trembling with sincerity. "I want to apologize for what happened. I never meant to knock out your teeth, and I blame myself for taking things too far."

Brandi listened, her guard slowly lowering. "It's okay, Regina. We had a good thing going, and I don't want that to be ruined over one sparring session."

Regina's eyes welled up with tears. "I just wish I could have been a better training partner for you. I'm really sorry."

Brandi reached out and placed a hand on Regina's shoulder. "It's okay. We're both here to improve, and I think we both learned something from that experience."

Regina nodded, wiping away her tears. "I wish you the best of luck in your test tomorrow. You've worked hard, and I know you'll do great."

Brandi smiled, grateful for Regina's apology and well wishes. "Thank you, Regina. I appreciate it. Let's both focus on our training and make the most of this art we both love." With that, the two women parted ways, their friendship, while not fully repaired, on the path to healing. Brandi entered the dojo with a lighter heart, ready to face her test.
